Federal Grand Jury Indicts Former American Airlines Flight Attendant Accused Of Filming Multiple Minor Girls On Aircraft

[[{“value”:”Court documents have been revealed for an American Airlines flight attendant indicted for allegedly secretly recording multiple underage girls during flights.
“Estes Carter Thompson III, 36, was indicted on one count of attempted sexual exploitation of children and one count of possession of child pornography depicting a prepubescent minor,” Daily Mail reports.
“American Airlines flight attendant Estes Carter Thompson III indicted for secretly filming a 14-year-old girl going to the bathroom on the plane. Police say Thompson had recordings of four other girls, 7, 9, 11 & 14, on his phone. The incident happened when Thompson noticed the girl was waiting for the lavatory. He mentioned that the first-class lavatory was open and escorted her to the front. Before entering, Thompson said he needed to wash his hands. He taped his phone to the seat,” Collin Rugg wrote.
“The girl didn’t noticed the phone until she got up. She took a picture to show her mother. The mother then told her father who confronted Thompson in the back of the plane where a ‘kerfuffle’ went down according to the family’s lawyer. Thompson is facing 15-30 years in prison for attempted exploitation of children and 20 years for having images of a prepubescent minor,” he added.

“Agents have located additional evidence of Thompson’s sexual interest in children within the account. For example, agents have located hundreds of images of child pornography, which appear to have been created through an artificial intelligence,” the court documents read, according to Daily Mail.
Daily Mail reports:
A search of Thompson´s suitcase found 11 ‘INOPERATIVE CATERING EQUIPMENT’ stickers, investigators said. A search of his iCloud account allegedly revealed four additional instances between January and August 2023 in which Thompson recorded a minor using the lavatory on an aircraft.
Police also found photos Thompson took of a nine-year-old unaccompanied minor on a flight from Charlotte to San Antonio on July 9.
He took close up photos of the girl asleep in her seat during the flight and a video of her buttocks as she exited the aircraft.
The parents of one of Thompsons victims have filed a lawsuit against the flight attendant.
‘It felt like we were living in a nightmare when the FBI showed up on our doorstep to tell us that our daughter had been secretly filmed by an American Airlines flight attendant. Since then, our daughter has struggled with fear and anxiety,’ the girl’s family told DailyMail.com in a statement.
‘We are doing everything we can to support her during this traumatic time. An important part of our family’s healing is making sure that the flight attendant and American Airlines are held accountable for what happened to our daughter. We hope that this lawsuit is the first step in making sure nothing like this ever happens to another family.’

The United States Attorney’s Office District of Massachusetts stated in a press release:
According to court documents, when the minor victim returned to her seat, she informed her parents of what she saw and showed them the picture. The victim’s parents reported the matter to other flight attendants onboard who notified the Captain, who in turn notified law enforcement on the ground. It is alleged that the victim’s father confronted Thompson who, shortly thereafter, locked himself in the lavatory with his iPhone for three to five minutes prior to the flight’s descent.
Upon the flight’s arrival at Boston’s Logan Airport, law enforcement observed that Thompson’s iPhone may have been restored to factory settings. It is alleged that a subsequent search of Thompson’s suitcase was found to contain 11 “INOPERATIVE CATERING EQUIPMENT” stickers, like those observed by the minor victim on the back of the toilet seat. A search of Thompson’s iCloud account allegedly revealed four additional instances between January and August 2023 in which Thompson recorded a minor using the lavatory on an aircraft. The minor victims allegedly depicted in the surreptitious recordings were seven, nine, 11 and 14 years old at the time. Additionally, over 50 images of a nine-year-old unaccompanied minor were allegedly found in Thompson’s iCloud. The images included photos taken while the minor victim was seated in her seat pre-flight and close-ups of her face while sleeping.
All minor victims involved in this matter have been identified and their families contacted by law enforcement.
It is further alleged that hundreds of images of AI-generated child pornography were also found stored on Thompson’s iCloud account.
The charge of attempted sexual exploitation of children provides for a sentence of at least 15 years and up to 30 years in prison. The charge of possession of child pornography depicting a prepubescent minor provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison. Both charges also provide for at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, a fine of up to $250,000 and restitution. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.”}]] [[{“value”:”
