Florida To Eliminate ‘Climate Change’ Directives Pushed By ‘Green Zealots’ In Legislative Package

[[{“value”:”Florida Gov. In order to fight the “radical climate agenda” promoted by “green zealots,” Ron DeSantis signed legislation to slash” climate change” priorities in the state’s energy policy.
” The legislation I signed today—HB 1645, HB 7071, and HB 1331—will keep windmills off our beaches, gas in our tanks, and China out of our state. We’re restoring sanity to our energy strategy and rejecting the desires of the extreme natural zealots. However, we’re going to ensure international adversaries like China have no foothold in our state”, DeSantis explained.

” Florida rejects the designs of the left to weaken our energy grid, pursue a dramatic climate agenda, and promote international adversaries”, DeSantis said.

Florida’s Voice reports:
The legislation updates different aspects of Florida’s energy policy and describes how various state departments put their own policies into practice.
The proposal removes a phrase that calls for the state to address” the potential of world climate change.”
Additionally, the state is required to research and assess potential financial and technological benefits of using nuclear power technologies in accordance with the legislation.
Additionally, it forbids the expansion of specific green energy infrastructure in Florida, including wind farms and wind farms.
The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services must now follow the state’s energy policy goals and priorities, among other administrative changes.
Moreover, it mandates that remote electric utilities have at least one shared aid agreement with another electrical utility in order to restore power after a natural disaster.
Additionally, the legislation encourages the expansion of natural gas resources throughout the state.
Unsurprisingly, mainstream media outlets criticized the Republican governor for dismissing the dramatic climate agenda.

Per The Guardian:
Florida is facing rising seas, severe heat, flooding and extremely severe storms.
According to a news release from the governor’s office, the legislation, which goes into effect on July 1 boosts the expansion of healthy gas, reduces state regulations on gas pipelines, and strengthens protections against gas appliances like stoves, goes into effect.
According to Yoca Arditi-Rocha, senior director of the non-profit Cleo Institute,” This intentional act of cognitive dissonance is proof that the governor and state legislature are acting in the best interests of Floridians rather than to protect profits for the fossil fuel industry.”
The science is obvious that burning more of it will contribute to climate change, potentially worsening the state’s flooding and heat problems. Overheating ocean waters are fueling stronger hurricanes, and when they hit, rising sea levels make storm surge more destructive”, The Washington Post wrote.
” The state’s summers have often been sizzling, but it’s now experiencing more days of intense heat. Miami had a 34- day run of 90- degree weather next year — its third- longest on record”, the outlet added.

From The Washington Post:
” I’m not in the church of the global warming leftists,” he said. I’m only not”, he said on the 2018 campaign trail. His economic plan called for lowering permitting requirements and ending emissions regulations to speed up oil and gas production as a political candidate. He made the announcement at an oil rig site in Texas, where he referred to the Biden administration’s climate policies as “part of an agenda to control you and to control our behavior.”
He has also taken aim at local efforts to combat climate change, signing a law last month that forbids cities and counties from enforcing rules to protect outside workers from severe heat. This issue is growing in a state where agriculture and construction are significant industries.”}]] [[{“value”:”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed legislation to reduce the priority of ‘climate changes’ in the state’s Energy Policy to combat ‘green zealots’ radical climate agenda.
“The legislation that I signed today — HB 1645, HB 19701, and HB 13031 — will keep windmills away from our beaches, gasoline in our tanks, as well as China out of our State. We are restoring sanity to our energy policy and rejecting the radical green agenda. DeSantis said, “We’re also going to make sure that foreign adversaries such as China don’t have a foothold in our state.”

Florida’s Voice:
The bill updates Florida’s energy policies and the way different state departments implement their own policies.
The proposal removes a phrase that directs the state to “address the potential of global climate changes.”
The bill also requires that the state study and evaluate potential technical and economical advantages of using nuclear energy technologies.
The law also prohibits the expansion in Florida of certain green energy infrastructure, including offshore wind energy installations and certain wind turbines.
Some of the changes include requiring that the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services be consistent with state energy policy goals and priority.
In order to restore power after a disaster, rural electric utilities must also have at least one agreement of mutual aid with another electric utility.
The legislation also encourages expansion of natural gas reserves throughout the state.
Media outlets have criticized the Republican Governor for dismissing radical climate agenda.

“I don’t sit in the pews at the church of global warming leftists.” “I’m not,” he said in the 2018 campaign. He has also targeted local efforts to protect the people from climate effects, signing a bill last month that prohibits cities and counties to write regulations to protect outdoor workers against extreme heat. This is a growing issue in a state with a large construction and agricultural industry.
