Donald Trump was interviewed shortly after the attacks in a well-known video where he was asked what he thought about construction, particularly in New York City.
His quick answer?
I do n’t believe it.
I do n’t see how, even a plane, could go through that building.
I know how it was constructed and it’s not feasible.

Donald Trump is a specialized builder. He’s spent much of his career in construction, building casinos and restaurants, and his opinion on the way the World Trade Centers came over is that of educated observation.
According to Rick Shaddock, Executive Director of the Association for Nine Eleven Truth Awareness,” Donald Trump was the first 9/11 Truther to speak out on TV, on the very same day, challenging the official story, and saying bombs must have been used, years before Architects &, Engineers for 9/11 Truth was founded, from the perspective of people who know buildings are built to stand powerful, perhaps against planes”.
Donald did in fact criticize the circumstance, blaming the steel beams ‘ incredible strength and the fact that some of the damage must have been caused by some sort of explosive.
He also appeared to believe that the initial building must have been influenced by something other than the plane ( which may or may not have been the case ).
Of course, since his common exclamation, Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth have laid out a convincing argument that explosives good lined the inside of the building, enabling a controlled demolition. This, in their opinion, is the only way anyone could have gotten the buildings to fall right along, in complimentary- fall, like they did.

Alan Marcus: You’re probably the most well-known architect in the city, especially when it comes to building magnificent structures. Do you have any opinions on whether or not the damage and eventual destruction of the buildings were caused by the airplanes by structural flaws, bombs, or more, after shocks?
Donald Trump: It was n’t architectural defect. The World Trade Center has often been regarded as a really powerful structure. Do n’t forget that 1993 was a massive bombing in the basement. The basement is now the most vulnerable because it is your foundation’s foundation, which it has survived, and a tour of that area by one of my architectural engineers, who had built the structure, earned me my respect. Half of the columns were blown out as the building was still standing. This was an utterly strong building. One of the first structures constructed from the outside, if you do n’t know anything about architecture, was a structure. The steel was there on the outside of the building, and the reason the windows at the World Trade Center were so thin was because of the steel.
That’s why when I initially looked – and you had these big large i- beams. Because there was a hole in the steel, and this is steel that was, you can recall the width of the World Trade Center staff’s windows, I could n’t believe it when I first saw it. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll recall how thin they were, with large steel between them. I said how could a plane, even a plane, yet a 767 or 747 or whatever it might have been, how could it probably go through this steel? Because I ca n’t imagine anything being able to pass through that wall, I believe they also had bombs that exploded almost simultaneously. The majority of buildings have steel on the inside around the elevator shaft. The strongest structure you can have, which is the one you can have, was used to build this one, which was virtually like a can of soup.
Rolland Smith: Donald, we were watching the pictures of that plane entering building number two all morning, and suddenly the explosion comes out the different side as a result.
Donald Trump: Right. Just as importantly, I believe there was a plane that had more than just fuel. They were evidently very large planes, in my opinion. Because I was likewise observing where the plane appeared to be moving quickly, which included entering the building. Also important is determining the speed of a descent. Because you’re talking about the heaviest caliber steel used on the building, it just seemed to me that doing that kind of destruction is even more important than a huge plane. You can tell from the strength of these buildings that they are truly incredible and awesome. This nation is unique today and will remain so for some years to come.

Some people think that is only feasible if the area were lined with Thermite.

There is a lot of debate about whether the damage to the buildings and their destruction was caused by the planes, by architectural defects or perhaps by bombs or by more after shocks. What are your thoughts on this?
Donald Trump: It was not an architectural defect. The World Trade Center has always been known as a very strong building. Remember that a bomb was dropped in the basement of the World Trade Center in 1993. The basement is the most vulnerable area because it’s the foundation. It survived and I saw that area three or four days later because one of my structural engineer took me on a tour. He did the building, and I said: “I can’t imagine it”. The building was standing strong and half the columns were blown away. This was a building of incredible power. If you’re not familiar with structure, it was the first building to be built from the outside. The steel, that’s why the World Trade Center has such narrow windows. In between all of the windows, there was the steel on outside, on the exterior of the building.
When I first looked, you had these heavy i beams. When I first saw it, I was shocked. There was a huge hole in the steel. This is steel that was the same width as the windows at the World Trade Center. You would have known if you had been up there that the windows were narrow and this heavy steel was in between. I asked how a plane could possibly get through the steel. I think they had a plane and bombs that exploded simultaneously. I can’t imagine that anything could have gone through that wall. The steel is usually placed around the elevator shaft in most buildings. This one was constructed from the outside, which is the strongest possible structure. It was almost like a can.

Donald Trump: Right. I think there was more on the plane than just fuel. I think they were obviously very large planes. They were moving very quickly, because I was also watching the planes that seemed to be not just going fast but also seeming to be coming down the building. It is possible to get the speed by going downhill. I thought that this kind of destruction was more than a large plane, because you are talking about the steel, the heaviest steel that was used to build the building. These buildings were solid and it was just amazing. This country is very different today, and it will be for many years.
