House panel requests FTC investigate if TikTok violated child protection act

The leaders of the bipartisan panel focused on China sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission asking them to investigate if TikTok violated child protection laws to prevent the United States from banning this app. The letter was obtained by The Hill, and first reported by NBC News.
