From the Associated Press:
Driece urged participants to make” the right decisions to take this process ahead” so that one day there will be a pandemic agreement “because we need it,” and that the World Health Assembly will take lessons from its work and plot the course of action next week.
The draft treaty attempted to close the gap between the COVID- 19 vaccines in wealthy and developing nations, which WHO Director- General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called” a severe social failure.”

24 GOP governors wrote a letter to Joe Biden earlier this week, expressing their opposition to” two proposed instruments currently in negotiation that would purport to grant the World Health Organization ( WHO ) unprecedented and unconstitutional powers over the United States and its people.”
Joe Biden’s opposition to the WHO Pandemic Treaty is the subject of a letter from Republican governors.
According to the statement,” These proposed changes could fundamentally alter the governors ‘ roles as state health officials.”
” These proposed accords aim to significantly alter the amendments to the WHO’s existing International Health Regulations ( IHRs ) and introduce a new’ Pandemic Agreement ‘ ( Treaty ) that would undermine national sovereignty, infringe upon states ‘ rights, and jeopardize constitutionally guaranteed freedoms”, it read.
The governors of the next states ratified the letter:
Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Per Breitbart:
Earlier this month, U. S. Republican senators wrote to the Biden administration, arguing the draft treaty focused on issues like” shredding intellectual property rights” and” supercharging the WHO”. They urged Biden to refrain from signing off.
Driece said the World Health Assembly would urge participants to “make the correct decisions to advance this process” so that one day there will be a pandemic agreement “because we need it.”
Addressing a gloomy last day of negotiations, the W. H. O. chief insisted,” This is not a failure”.
Because the world also needs a pandemic treaty, Tedros said,” We will try everything — believing that everything is possible — and make this happen.” ” Some of the issues that caused a severe impact during COVID- 19 also exist,” the statement continues.
The American government’s department of health had already stated it would simply consent to an agreement if it adhered to American national interest and sovereignty despite W. H. O. career bureaucrats ‘ desire to push the project forward.”}]] [[{“value”:”
