Two sources with knowledge of the plans were cited by Axios.
” The pair have agreed in principle to independent life interviews as part of a new video series, titled’ The People’s Town Hall,’ per the sources, though the dates and locations have yet to be set”, the outlet wrote.
Former President Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., both of whom are running for president, will be televised town halls hosted by NEWS: X and NewsNation.

Per Axios:
All X users worldwide will be able to access the life feeds.
A source with knowledge of X’s plans told Axios that users could ask questions to the debate moderators before the event and in genuine time thanks to the new life town hall format.
Moderators will have the last say in the questions that are asked. Moderators for each event have not yet been determined, but they will probably include at least one NewsNation host, alongside another journalists.
To promote the live feed and facilitate discussions around the event, X will create a life event page for each town hall.
Yaccarino approached NewsNation parent Nexstar about the idea, according to sources who spoke to Axios. From her perspective, the goal is to make X the place where ordinary people can have a greater voice in the political process.
Elon Musk had originally agreed to host a political debate.

Axios cited sources familiar with the plans.
The sources say that the two have agreed to separate live interviews for a new video program, titled “The People’s Town Hall,” though the dates and places have not yet been set.

Axios reported that Yaccarino had approached Nexstar, the parent company of NewsNation, about the concept. According to her, the idea is to make X a destination where everyday people can have a stronger voice in the political system.
Elon Musk had previously agreed to host a debate for the presidential election.
