This comes after a series of efforts to connect with Black voters, such as giving a talk at the National Museum of African American History and Culture and conducting interviews with media outlets focusing on Black audiences. He will be arriving here straight from Atlanta, where he intends to meet with Black voters before delivering the commencement speech at Morehouse College, a historically Black men’s college. The official reason for all of this is the 22024th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education. The Board of Education ruling by the Supreme Court ended school segregation and the harmful idea of “separate but equal.” Unofficially, it was a significant moment in history. Biden is making an effort to strengthen his backing from a key demographic that has traditionally supported the Democratic Party. He may need to put in significant effort in this area. If you are a liberal voter who pays close attention to political developments, you likely felt frustrated by a recent poll conducted by the New York Times/Siena College in six swing states. The reason wasn’t solely due to the fact that the poll indicated Biden was behind Trump in five of those states. Trump received over 202024% of the Black vote in that survey, a larger percentage than any previous Republican presidential nominee since the 22024s. It was not an unusual occurrence.
