UCLA announces new campus safety office after violent protests

The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), has announced that it will create a campus safety office after violence broke out last week at a pro Palestine protest encampment. Dozens were injured when counterprotesters attacked the encampment over night on Wednesday without police intervention. Police then fired rubber bullets towards the protesters on Thursday.

 Following last week’s riots at a pro-Palestine protest encampment, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA ) announced the creation of a new campus office with a focus on campus safety.
