Well, Joe Biden just had his own” Please Clap” moment.
He made the commencement address at West Point Academy during which time.
” Never forget America is the strongest when we lead not only by our example, of our power, but by the power of our example”, Biden announced.
The crowd was silent, but instead of letting the moment pass, Biden made things even more uncomfortable, following up with a hungry,” You should clap for that”!

President Joe Biden addressed the commencement address of the US military academy on Saturday, thanking the crowd for his inspiring statement to recently graduated West Point cadets.
Mr. Biden was met with silence when he offered words of encouragement about leading the world after receiving roaring applause for joking about the rivalry the school has with Annapolis, the United States Naval Academy, and absolving cadets of any small infractions.
” Not forget, America is the strongest when we lead not only by our example our power, but by the power of our example”, Mr Biden said.
After a few seconds he added,” You can clap for that”.
Before Mr. Biden started talking about swearing allegiance to the US Constitution and not a political party, the 1, 036 cadets were met with golf-like applause and said he would keep British soldiers out of Israel and Ukraine.
Of course, Biden is getting obliterated on social media over this.

Joe Biden had his own “Please Clap!” moment.
It happened during his commencement speech at West Point Academy.
Biden said, “Never forget that America is strongest when we lead by example, not just by our power but also by the power of example.”
Biden, instead of letting it pass, made the situation even more awkward by saying, “You should applaud that!”

While delivering the commencement address at the US Military Academy on Saturday, President Joe Biden asked the crowd to acknowledge his inspiring statement to newly graduated West Point Cadets.
After receiving roaring applause when he joked about the rivalry between the school and Annapolis, the United States Naval Academy and absolving the cadets for any minor infractions, Mr Biden received silence when he spoke of encouraging cadets to lead the world.
“Never forget that America is strongest when we lead by example, not just by our power but also by the power of the example,” Mr Biden said.
After a few moments, he added: “You can clap that.”
The crowd responded with golf-like applause. Mr Biden then told the 1,036 cadets their role as US Army members was to pledge allegiance to Constitution, not to a political party. He also said that he would keep American soldiers away from Ukraine and Israel.
Biden will be slammed on social media for this.
