” Unfortunately, we can confirm that there have been fatalities with this tornado”, Iowa State Patrol spokesperson Sgt. Alex Dinkla said during a news conference Tuesday evening, according to AccuWeather.

Drone video showed enormous destruction in Greenfield, about 50 miles west of Des Moines, on Tuesday evening.
” There is generally nothing left”, Clel Baudler, a previous Iowa state representative who lives a half mile from Greenfield, told CNN. ” It went straight through Greenfield”.
Rogue Paxton claimed to have sheltered in the basement of his home when the storm passed, and that his family was fortunate even though the house was destroyed.
” But everyone else is not so much, like my brother Cody, his house only got wiped”, Paxton said. Therefore you can see all of these individuals helping one another. … Everything’s going to be fine because we have each other, but it’s only going to be really, really hard. It is a mess”.

Wind turbines in Adams County were destroyed by one tornado.
KCCI reports:
A tornado struck Adams County, Iowa on Tuesday, sliding some wind farms and causing extensive damage.
Around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the tornado touched down northwest of Prescott as a string of extreme storms pushed into the state.
Zane Satre, a KCCI reporter, witnessed the storms first-hand.
” It’s a lovely harsh- looking tornado. It is not always completely condensed to the ground. You can see it’s kind of scruffy looking”, he said. You can a little bit see through it at times. But there’s positively circulation all the way to the ground”.
As the tornado ripped across the county, it destroyed several wind turbines. At least three 250-foot towers, according to Satre, were strewn across the area, their blades dispersing like twigs.
The harsh twister that was causing a wind turbine to snap was captured in gorgeous footage.

Tuesday evening, drone video captured massive destruction in Greenfield (about 50 miles southwest of Des Moines).
Clel Baudler told CNN that there was “basically nothing left”. He is a former Iowa State Representative who lives half a mile away from Greenfield. “It went through Greenfield.”
Rogue Paxton told WOI-TV that he hid in the basement when the storm passed through. Although the house was destroyed, his family was lucky.
“But everyone else, like my brother Cody whose house was just wiped out,” Paxton said. “You see people helping each other out here. It’s going be rough, but everything will be fine because of each other. It’s a mess.”

A tornado struck Tuesday in Adams County, Iowa. It toppled several wind turbines, and left behind a trail that was damaged.
A line of severe thunderstorms moved into the state around 3 pm on Tuesday.
Zane Satre, a KCCI reporter, witnessed the storms first hand.
“It looks like a violent tornado.” It is not always fully condensed. “You can see that it looks grungy,” he said. You can see through it sometimes. “But there’s definitely circulation down to the ground.”
As the tornado ripped through the county, it destroyed multiple wind turbines. Satre said that he saw at least three 250 foot towers snapping like twigs and their blades scattered all over the area.
