According to Daily Mail, the flight diverted to Peoria, Illinois, for an emergency landing after the girl became indifferent.

The child was met by first-responders at the General Wayne A. After the plane landed at Peoria International Airport, the girl was hardly breathing and had no pulse, according to the coroner’s office.
Sydney was rushed her to the hospital, where she was declared dead only after 8am, despite’ extreme resuscitative efforts.’
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Sydney, from Carl Junction, Missouri, was traveling with her her parents Whitney and Dan and her older brother Evan.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office said: ‘ When the plane landed Deputies, AMT Personnel, and Air National Guard Fire personnel soon received the 8- year- ancient female child and began life- saving measures.

” Thursday, June 13th, 2024, at about 7: 00 am, Peoria County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 6100 W. Everett McKinley Dirksen Parkway on a flight landing at the Peoria International Airport for a medical emergency. The business flight made its way to Chicago from Joplin, Missouri. When the plane landed Deputies, AMT Personnel, and Air National Guard Fire personnel soon received the 8- year- ancient female child and began life- saving measures”, the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The child was taken by AMT to a nearby hospital, where she was unfavorably declared dying. Please keep the family of the child and anyone who was a part of this tragic event in your thoughts and prayers, the news release added.

According to the online site Flight Aware, which tracks flight paths, SkyWest Flight 5121 departed from the Joplin Regional Airport at 5: 51 a. m. and, after 42 minutes in air, made an emergency landing at the Peoria International Airport in Illinois.
Her family soon alerted the flight crew to her condition, and they soon began rendering aid right away, the coroner wrote.
A SkyWest spokesman told USA TODAY that the plane, which operated as United Express, was flown to Peoria and received medical attention from paramedics who arrived on the scene.
Officials released a statement on Friday, thanking the efforts of our crew members who swiftly intervened and the skilled personnel who met the aircraft.

First responders met the child in the General Wayne A. After the plane landed at the Downing Peoria International Airport, the girl did not have a pulse or breathing.
Sydney was rushed to the hospital where she was declared deceased just after 8am despite “aggressive resuscitative attempts.”
An autopsy will be performed on Friday.
Sydney, a resident of Carl Junction, Missouri was traveling with her parents Whitney and Dan, and her older brother Evan.

“On Thursday, June 13th 2024, around 7:00 am, Peoria Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 6100 W. Everett McKinley Dirksen Parkway in response to a flight landing at Peoria International Airport due a medical emergency. The commercial flight was originating from Joplin, Missouri with the intention of landing in Chicago. When the plane landed, Deputies, Air National Guard Fire personnel, and AMT Personnel immediately received the 8-year old female child and began to save her life,” the Peoria county Sheriff’s office said in a press release.
“The child was transported by AMT to a local facility where she was unfortunately declared dead. Please keep in your prayers the child’s parents and all those involved in the traumatic event.

According to Flight Aware’s online flight tracking site, SkyWest Flight 5112 departed the Joplin Regional Airport, Illinois, at 5:51 a.m. After 42 minutes in the air, the flight made an emergency landing in Illinois at the Peoria Airport International Airport.
The coroner wrote that “her family immediately informed the flight crew of her condition and they began quickly rendering aid.”
A SkyWest spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY that the plane, which was operating as United Express at the time, diverted to Peoria where paramedics met the passenger to assist with his medical condition.
In a Friday statement, officials said: “We are grateful for the efforts of the crewmembers and medical personnel who rushed to the aircraft.
