During an interview on “Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla,” Barr stated that he was surprised by the former president’s legal charges in this matter. Trump was charged with 34 counts of altering business records in connection with a $130,000 payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, in order to keep her silence. Barr expressed disbelief that the case would proceed because he viewed it as insubstantial and unlikely to succeed. He was surprised when it progressed and confirmed his initial judgment that it was flawed. Barr also raised concerns about the potential impact on the American people if the case were to result in overturning the election results, particularly if Trump were to lose. He continued to argue that this case would be reversed. Barr criticized the restraining order imposed on Trump, preventing him from making any comments related to potential witnesses, jurors, or other individuals involved in the case. He suggested that this put the GOP’s likely nominee at a disadvantage. Trump was penalized for consistently breaking the gag order and was cautioned that he could be imprisoned for any further violations. Barr expressed disbelief at the fact that a prominent candidate was unable to speak out in his defense. Trump’s legal team requested that the gag order be removed before the upcoming CNN debate with his primary opponent, President Joe Biden, in the 2024 election. 6. kesäkuuta 2024 Jimmy Failla julkaisi sosiaalisessa mediassa mainoksen.
