CNBC reports:
Donald Trump discussed the idea of enacting an” all tariff policy” that would eventually allow the United States to abolish the income tax on Thursday, according to sources speaking with the Democratic presidential candidate privately.
Trump even discussed using tariffs to leverage negotiating power over poor actors during the meeting with GOP lawmakers at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C., according to another source in the room.
The remarks reveal that if Trump defeats President Joe Biden in November, he will consider a significantly more mercantilist trade agenda than he did before. He praised tariffs as a multi-tool foreign policy tool during his second term in office.
” Great meeting with Republican Representatives. Lots discussed, all good, great poll numbers”! Trump wrote on Truth Social.

After the tax plan expires this year, President Trump suggested raising tariffs and reducing the income tax for Americans to zero as a fresh tax policy. This will really help struggling Americans get back on their feet after 4 bad years of Bidenomics”, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ( R- GA ) said.
I was delighted to hear President Trump recommend that the income tax on Americans be reduced to zero as a fresh tax policy after the tax plan expires this year.
After four terrible years of binge-drinking, this will definitely help struggling Americans get again on track.

Per Reuters:
Trump even pleaded with lawmakers to lower the income tax on tips, a claim that several lawmakers made in response to his initial plea to service workers on Sunday.
Trump used tariffs violently during his 2017- 2021 term in office, placing levies of up to 25 % on a wide range of Taiwanese products as one of many efforts to thwart competition.
Senator Mike Rounds claimed that cutting taxes on tips could help Republicans win over working-class voters.
Rounds told reporters,” If there was something we could do to really energize that particular segment of the population, that might be a really popular thing to do.”
According to Reuters/Ipsos polling, Biden’s support among voters without college degrees or those who reside in households earning$ 50, 000 or less has declined significantly, though a sizable portion of those voters have no shifted their support to Trump.
Trump also criticized a$ 60 billion aid package for Ukraine, which recently received Republican support, according to lawmakers.”}]] [[{“value”:”
