Garland to fight contempt effort as ‘only the most recent’ attack on DOJ

On Tuesday, Attorney General Merrick G. Garland will fight back against lawmakers who have threatened to hold him in contempt. He will call the effort “only the latest in a long list of attacks” on Justice Department. Garland will appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, after the House Oversight Committee.
