SCOTUS should heed Gorsuch and require juries for petty crimes

Imagine being told you don’t have a right to a trial by jury, even though your alleged crime is serious enough to be classified as a “crime”, or “criminal prosecution”, even though you could face up to 6 months in jail.

 Imagine being told that you are ultimately barred from a jury trial because your alleged offense is not serious enough to qualify as a” crime” or” criminal prosecution,” despite having up to six months in jail. Imagine being told that you are ineligible for a jury trial after all because your alleged offense is not serious enough to qualify as a” crime” or” criminal prosecution,” despite the fact that you could spend up to six months in jail. 

Imagine being told you don’t have a right to a trial by jury, even though your alleged crime is serious enough to be classified as a “crime”, or “criminal prosecution”, even though you could face up to 6 months in jail.
