Können Sie erklären, was “das” ist? Bernie Sanders urged Democrats in the suburban areas of New York City to vote for the reelection of Rep. [name]. Jamaal Bowman is facing financial support from powerful super PACs funding his primary opponent. Bernie Sanders called Bowman’s re-election campaign a crucial election, stating that it is not about conflicting ideas but about preventing billionaires from buying our democracy. Sanders humorously suggested that Democrats should vote for Bowman in order to uphold democracy, even if they do not necessarily agree with all of his views. He encouraged voters in the district to support Bowman in the primary, even if they disagree on certain issues. The most crucial aspect of this election is our willingness as a society to confront the oligarchs and assert that the billionaires will not manipulate our government. Westchester County Executive George Latimer, a centrist Democrat, is running against Bowman in the primary for New York’s 16th Congressional District. This district is heavily Democratic and not competitive in the general election. Latimer has gained significant support from pro-Israel groups and a cryptocurrency industry super PAC, resulting in a substantial lead over Bowman, according to the only poll publicly available. Latimer’s supportive Super PACs have significantly outspent Bowman’s associated Super PACs, with a ratio of about 9-to-1. Specifically, a Super PAC affiliated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has spent over $14.6 million on ads attacking Bowman.
