Former Major League Baseball Pitcher Passes Away At 31

When the accident happened, Moronta, according to the Associated Press, was riding in the northwestern part of the nation’s Villa Gonzalez community.
Reyes Armando Moronta’s horrible passing has caused us “deep regret.” We want to send his family and friends our heartfelt condolences in these difficult circumstances. Rest in peace”, Dominican team Águilas Cibaeñas wrote on social media.

He had just been released from Bravos de Leon, of the Mexican League, next week.
In 2017, Moronta made his San Francisco Giants debut. In the following two seasons, he made the majority of his appearances. He had a 2.49 ERA in 69 games in 2018 and a 2.86 ERA in 56 games in 2019.
He signed for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022, and the Arizona Diamondbacks after accepted his waivers. He left the Angels in May 2023 and was then released.
He had a 3.05 ERA in 177 appearances over six years in the majors.

In 2022, Moronta played 22 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

According to Associated Press Moronta was riding a motorcycle in the Villa Gonzalez area of the north part of the country at the time the accident happened.
“We deeply regret the tragic loss of pitcher Reyes Armando Moronta. In these moments, we would like to send our deepest condolences and love to his family. Rest in peace,” Dominican football team Aguilas Cibaenas posted on social media.

Moronta debuted for the San Francisco Giants during 2017. The majority of Moronta’s appearances were in the two seasons that followed. He had a 2,49 ERA in 69 matches in 2018 and a 2,86 ERA 56 games in 2019.
He signed with Los Angeles Dodgers 2022. The Arizona Diamondbacks claimed his waivers from Dodgers at the end of the season. He signed with the Angels on May 20, 2023, and was released at the end of the season.
In 177 major league appearances, he had a 3.05 ERA.

Moronta played 22 games for Los Angeles Dodgers 2022.

In a translated message, the Mexican Baseball League expressed its “deepest sympathy” for his family, former colleagues and friends.
Moronta was raised in the Dominican Republic. In September 2010, he signed with the San Francisco Giants as an international free-agent at age 17.
