As Marxist/Globalists have seized power in the legislative and executive branches of government, (the jury is out on the judicial branch,) through the installation of their political operatives in both the Democratic and Republican parties this past November, those searching for some way to save the republic may find hope in our system of federalism.
Federalism was enshrined by the Framers of our Constitution when they wrote, and the states ratified, the Tenth Amendment…
Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
While the federal courts have earned a jaundiced contempt from most Americans, it’s hard to see how, at least, the Red States won’t prevail in preventing the gross overreach we’re already witnessing from the newly seated Biden Administration.
It took only one day before Texas Attorney General Ken Paxtion announced his intention to sue the Biden Administration over the new president’s almost immediate decree to freeze the deportation of illegal aliens.
Paxton contends Biden’s Executive Order violates an existing agreement between the Department of Homeland Security and the state of Texas.
I won’t tolerate unlawful acts from @JoeBiden’s administration. Today, I am taking action. #Immigration https://t.co/5EKWH81ICN

Considering the Supreme Court denied an attempt by the Trump Administration to claw back federal funds from states violating standing immigration laws based on existing budgetary allotments, it’s hard to see how the high court would now be able to justify denying Paxton’s claim based on the fact that it is based on existing U.S. law… a much clearer predicate than one based solely on an existing budget.
Meanwhile, Florida Governor is having no more of the dog and pony show ordered by Nancy Pelosi.
(Breitbart) Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) announced early Friday morning that he ordered the return of Florida National Guardsmen from the nation’s capital following reports of troops being forced to evacuate the Capitol building grounds and wait in a parking garage after an alleged mask complaint from a Democrat congressman, emphasizing they are soldiers and “not Nancy Pelosi’s servants.”
“Last night, I ordered our Adjutant General to bring Florida National Guard soldiers home from the National Capital Region,” the Republican governor announced:

“They’re soldiers. They’re not Nancy Pelosi’s servants,” DeSantis said during a Friday morning appearance on Fox & Friends.
“And this comes on the back end of them trying to investigate the backgrounds of our guardsmen,” he continued. [In] Florida, we did not let them go into their political beliefs. I thought that was totally inappropriate. I thought it was very disrespectful for people who are clearly patriots.”
“So this is a half-cocked mission at this point and I think the appropriate thing is to bring them home,” he added.
Kudos to Texas AG Paxton and Florida Governor DeSantis for taking the first steps towards setting an example for other governors who may be intent on saving as much of our America First – Citizens and Taxpayers First – agenda as possible in accordance with the oath to protect and defend the Constitution that they swore before God to uphold.
