Every time I am forced to wonder out of the house to get something from a store and I see all the terrified people wearing masks … outside, some even while exercising … alone, I wonder how the hell we got here.
Then all of a sudden I remember … the media. The media needs viewers and the number one way to keep people watching is to keep them scared.
I have friends who watch the MSM, MSNBC in particular, who feel like they need to make excuses for having a friend over to their house for crying out loud. The media really is the enemy of the people. Keeping us scared and pinned against one another ALL THE TIME, and it’s only getting worse.
Down here in Florida things are pretty normal in terms of things being open, but with everyone wearing masks it feels like we have crossed the preverbal Rubicon.
Luckily DeSantis, our governor, has sense and is not willing to let our economy crash and end up with half the state out of work over a virus. I’m not saying the virus does not exist, or that its not dangerous, esp for certain people.
However, we can not let the ‘solution’ be worse than the cure, esp because it sure feel like that is what the powers that be want.
Luckily there is another state that is finally coming back to Earth as well …
Fox News is reporting:
‘Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on Friday lifted coronavirus restrictions that had been in place in the state since before Thanksgiving.
The Republican’s latest health proclamation won’t require Iowans to wear masks while inside public buildings and removes limits on both indoor and outdoor gatherings.
“I strongly encourage that all businesses or other employers remaining open with in-person operations take reasonable measures under the circumstances of each establishment to ensure the health of employees, patrons and members of the public, including social distancing practices, increased hygiene practices and other public health measures to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19,” the proclamation said, according to KCCI-TV in Des Moines.
The order goes into effect at midnight Sunday.
Jessica Dunker, president and CEO of the Iowa Restaurant Association, praised the order, which dispenses with social distancing requirements in restaurants and bars.
“Quite frankly, it allows us to go back to doing business at a really critical time,” she said, according to the Des Moines Register. “We are … one day before the Super Bowl, which opens up a lot of businesses for crowds to come in and safely watch the big game.”‘
We have said it before and we will say it again … there are no requirements on the microns your masking must have. The idea that saying ‘wearing a mask makes you safe’ without any science saying the virus is X microns, your filter myst be x-y microns is absurd on its face.
