If you think about it, a permit is just the government threatening to fine, imprison or kill you if you do not pay them an extortion fee to exercise one of your God given rights.
Take ‘hunting permits’ for example. The state forces you to pay them so that you can ever harvest food to feed your family. If you do not pay it, they will fine you and possibly throw you in jail. If you resist, with enough force, the government will kill you.
Now, even though it is protected in the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution, there are more restrictions on gun ownership and carrying a firearm than on having an abortion. You can kill babies, thats no problem, the state will even pay for it (even if you don’t live in the country) but if you want to protect yourself … you need to jump through hoops and pay through the nose.
Luckily for SOME Americans, there are still a FEW, a VERY FEW, politicians who respect your right to defend yourself. Obviously there are no Democrats looking to make it easier for Americans to defend themselves, If I had to guess, I bet this would be because the Democrats plan on doing things that they know you would … resist.
Anyway, ‘flyover country’ is getting it right again with this new law …

‘Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed into law Friday a law that loosens regulations on gun ownership by eliminating the need for a permit to buy or carry handguns in the state.
The new law takes effect July 1, with many calling it a “constitutional carry” bill.
“Today I signed legislation protecting the Second Amendment rights of Iowa’s law-abiding citizens while still preventing the sale of firearms to criminals and other dangerous individuals,” Reynolds said in a statement Friday afternoon.
The Republican acknowledged that the bill will not stop “bad actors” from acquiring handguns, but that it will protect her citizens’ rights.
The bill does not provide blanket freedom to purchase guns without some hurdles.’
We need to see more of this all over the nation. Everyone who is trained and capable should carry a gun, if they did we would all be a lot safer.
It’s nice to see some good news these days with so much tyranny coming out of Washington.
