AOC has given Kamala Harris a piece of her mind. That is very generous of her since she has so little, to begin with. She objects to what Harris said on her trip to South America, but frankly, I can’t understand her consternation.
Does she really believe Joe Biden is going to secure the border or send anyone back from where they came from? That was all rhetoric and should in no way be mistaken for the truth.
Kamala Harris said:
“I want to be clear to folks in this region who are thinking about making that dangerous trek to the United States-Mexico border: Do not come. Do not come. The United States will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border.”
“There are legal methods by which migration can and should occur. But we as one of our priorities will discourage illegal migration. And I believe, if you come to our border, you will be turned back.”
Harris went out of her way to show the difference between legal and illegal immigration. In order to complain about Harris, AOC had to twist her words around.
AOC said:
“This is disappointing to see. First, seeking asylum at any US border is a 100% legal method of arrival,” (Harris did not address asylum-seekers in the clip AOC shared.)
“Second, the US spent decades contributing to regime change and destabilization in Latin America. We can’t help set someone’s house on fire and then blame them for fleeing. It would be helpful if the US would finally acknowledge its contributions to destabilization and regime change in the region. Doing so can help us change US foreign policy, trade policy, climate policy, & carceral border policy to address causes of mass displacement & migration.”
This is disappointing to see.
First, seeking asylum at any US border is a 100% legal method of arrival.

But, the bottom line is that Biden is not going to secure the border and he is not going to reject anyone from entering the country unless they are wearing MAGA clothing. The crisis at the border is not an accident, it is the plan of action.
The confusion allowed Biden to release illegals into the country without a court date. Now, all the illegals have to do is stay hidden so they cannot be given a court date later.
Why AOC felt the need to attack her over her trip and what she said, I have no clue. She should know that the words mean nothing. Democrats are really good about proposing issues, they are just lousy about doing them.
How many years have Democrats promised to move the embassy to Jerusalem? But Trump did it. How many years have presidents, both Republican and Democrat, promised to bring peace to the Middle East? But Trump actually did it.
How about prison reform? Trump did that too. He also funded traditionally Black Colleges at a time when several were considering closing.
He created “Opportunity Zones” that revitalized minority districts and created jobs for tens of thousands of people.
So, Snowflakes, you really don’t need to worry about what Harris said because she doesn’t mean it.
