Former President Donald Trump slammed Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice (DOJ) for giving fired and disgraced former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe back his pension and benefits after being fired by then Attorney General Jeff Sessions within hours of when McCabe’s scheduled 2018 retirement started.
”Isn’t it terrible that all of Andrew McCabe’s benefits, pensions, salary, etc., were just fully reinstated by the Justice Department? This is yet another mockery to our Country,” Trump said in a statement Friday. ”Among other things, McCabe’s wife received hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Hillary Clinton and the Democrats while Crooked Hillary was under investigation, which was quickly dropped, of course.”
For those of you who don’t know, and I can’t hold it against you because the mainstream news media intentionally spread misinformation about McCabe’s firing, he was fired because he lied to the FBI about leaking to a news outlet. According to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility, the FBI takes lying very seriously. In fact, it’s a felony. They call it “lack of candor.” Call it what you want, people get fired for it and that includes a deputy director.
The Washington Post, where democracy goes to die, reported that McCabe and the DOJ had settled McCabe’s lawsuit where he claimed his dismissal back in March 2018 was politically motivated because he would not be loyal to Trump while he threw the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server and supervised the FBI’s fabricated Russian collusion hoax.
”Politics should never play a role in the fair administration of justice and civil service personnel decisions,” McCabe said in a statement through the Arnold & Porter law firm, which posted the settlement. ” … I hope that this result encourages the men and women of the FBI to continue to protect the American people by standing up for the truth and doing their jobs without fear of political retaliation.”
I was hoping McCabe would be charged with the felony that he admitted he committed and tried in a court of law. It is the definition of chutzpah for McCabe to now claim he was a victim of wrongdoing. He broke the law while participating in a government coup attempt to take down a duly elected president.
Think about the two tiered system of justice we have. Andrew McCabe lied to FBI investigators, which is a felony and he was never charged with a felony. He was fired from his job and he lost his pension. That was all that happened to him. Yet I am certain that McCabe, during his career, has investigated or supervised investigations into American citizens for lying to the FBI and they did jail time.
From McCabe’s work product, a lengthy and multi-million dollar witch hunt investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller came back to report that there was no evidence whatsoever that Donald Trump or his campaign colluded with the Russian during the 2016 presidential election.
”What a bad chapter this has been for the once storied FBI — I hate to see it happening, so many great people work there,” Trump’s said in his statement. ”Next thing you know the two lovers, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, will be getting awards for what they did, and Hunter Biden will be given a clean bill of health on everything done by him, with everyone to receive as payment a beautiful Hunter Biden inspired painting selling at your local art gallery for $500,000.
“While I have never painted before, Hunter has inspired me to immediately begin painting because I’ve always felt I have a talent at that and could surely get at least $2 million dollars per canvas — and probably a lot more. I will begin immediately. Our country is crooked as hell!”
This was a personal FU to the Trump administration by the Biden administration. The Democrats ran a coup operation against Trump, which started before he was ever inaugurated. The Obama administration’s DOJ and intelligence community colluded to take him down by abusing their authority using the tools they are supposed to be used to keep our country safe against a sitting president, and now one of the ringleaders of the Russian collusion hoax has had his pension restored.
