Buckle up ladies and gentlemen, China is setting the stage for their invasion of Taiwan.
The United States has historically aided in the defense of Taiwan from their military adversaries.
According to the United States, State Department:
‘The United States and Taiwan enjoy a robust unofficial relationship. The 1979 U.S.-P.R.C. Joint Communique switched diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing. In the Joint Communique, the United States recognized the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, acknowledging the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China. The Joint Communique also stated that the people of the United States will maintain cultural, commercial, and other unofficial relations with the people of Taiwan. The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is responsible for implementing U.S. policy toward Taiwan.’
Senator Hawley of Missouri introduced S.3936 – Taiwan Defense Act back on June 10th of 2020. The bill states:
‘This bill requires, no later than April 30 every year, beginning in 2021 and ending in 2026, the Department of Defense (DOD) to submit to Congress a report on the progress of DOD with respect to improving the ability of the U.S. Armed Forces to conduct combined joint operations to deny the ability of China to execute a fait accompli against Taiwan.
The bill defines fait accompli as the strategy of China designed to allow it to use military force to seize control of Taiwan before the U.S. Armed Forces are able to respond effectively, while simultaneously deterring an effective combined joint response by the Armed Forces by convincing the United States that mounting such a response would be prohibitively difficult or costly.’
The bill has yet to be passed and while the Democrats drag their feet, China is preparing to invade our ally …
American Military News reports:
“Chinese state media threatened on Thursday that China will attack U.S. troops who attempt to defend Taiwan if China starts war with the island nation. The U.S. has said that China is readying for an attack on Taiwan.
China’s Global Times wrote, “It is credible that the PLA will heavily attack US troops who come to Taiwan’s rescue. Such credibility is increasingly overwhelming the deterrence that US troops may have.”
“If Washington supports the Taiwan authority’s path of seeking secession and encourages the Taiwan authority to rely on it, then reunification by force will definitely happen. The more the U.S. and the island of Taiwan collude, the sooner reunification by force will come,” the Global Times added.
National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the U.S. is prepared to defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion and takeover, saying the Biden administration hopes that scenario “never happens.””
The Daily Mail reported that China was going after Biden’s weak Jake Sullivan:
“Chinese troops will attack any US forces sent to defend Taiwan in the event a war over the island breaks out, Beijing‘s state-back media has warned.
The Global Times newspaper, a mouthpiece for China‘s Communist rulers, issued the threat after US national security adviser Jake Sullivan vowed that Washington will ‘never allow’ a Chinese invasion to take place.
Such threats are not credible because the US ‘cannot afford’ the cost of defending Taiwan, the newspaper said, urging Sullivan to shut his ‘big mouth’ and avoid ‘creating more embarrassment for your country’.”
Buckle up, this is how global conflicts begin …
