Just when you think that Democrats cannot get more depraved, they surprise you and sink to a new depth. The Maryland legislature is considering a bill that by far goes further in murdering innocent babies than has ever been tried before. To keep up with the woke crowd, they changed pregnant woman to pregnant person. That is the mildest part of the law.
This bill pertains to what happens after a woman gives birth, regardless of whether she had an attempted abortion or not. For up to 28 days after birth, a woman cannot be investigated for cruelty or neglect. For instance, a woman gives birth and then decides she doesn’t want it, she can just let the baby starve to death and the police are not allowed to investigate the baby’s death. In fact, if the police do investigate, this bill gives the child’s killer to sue the police.
A person may bring a cause of action for damages if the person was subject to unlawful arrest or criminal investigation for a violation of section as a result of . . .
2) Experiencing a miscarriage, stillbirth, or perinatal death
Up until now, the furthest the law went was to allow hospitals to withhold treatment from babies born after a failed abortion. But, here is something to think about. What if the mother gets tired of hearing the hungry baby cry. Can she then choke the child to death as long as it falls into that 28 day period that police are restricted from investigating? The way the law reads literally, she could not be charged with a crime.
In the past, it has been suggested that afterbirth abortions should be extended until the child reaches two years of age when sociologists say a child becomes a social creature. If you have ever had a child as I have, you know better. When you see your child reach out to you or hug your neck, that is love. If that’s not social I don’t know what is.
This bill does not specifically say you cannot murder your child, but it is a gray area that could result in the infant’s death without consequence. In the future, you can expect more laws like these that will outright give you permission to have your baby lethally injected. Liberals think it is cruel to lethally inject murderers no matter how heinous the crime, but doing it to innocent babies is moral or even heroic.
