In an attempt to conceal the news as much possible, the Department of Homeland Security released Friday night’s highly anticipated border numbers for September shortly after 11 p.m. The numbers were much worse than expected and were a significant improvement on previous years. The big three evening newscasts had to process the numbers since Friday, so you would expect them to have the report ready for Monday.
Unfortunately, that was not true. All three evening newscasts failed to report on Monday the devastation caused by the ongoing Biden border crisis. Instead, ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News had ample time to report on local weather forecasts and the Powerball Jackpot numbers reaching $625 million. They also covered a recall of several dry shampoo products.
As usual, Fox News Channel’s Special Report did all the journalistic heavy lifting. Anchor Bret Baier, the only journalist left hosting a nightly newscast, was quick to report on these numbers: “We’re getting an overview of the border crossing numbers tonight starting in September. They are shocking,” Baier stunned announced.
Baier then asked Bill Melugin, a correspondent, for the complete report from the border.
DHS released highly anticipated September border figures late Friday night, at 11:00 P.M. Eastern. This was a news dump that some critics call blatant. They are indeed historic. These numbers show that September saw more than 227,000 migrants encounters. This September was the most productive in DHS history. The equivalent of two full-capacity University of Michigan football fields. Nearly 2.4 million migrants encountered in fiscal year 2022. This is nearly the same as Houston’s population and the highest fiscal year ever. Not including 600,000.000 known escapees in a single year.
Even more alarming was the fact that 98 illegal immigrants crossing the border were arrested by the FBI for being on their terror watch list.
Rodney Scott, the former chief of border patrol, told Melugin that those were just the border patrol agents that he had encountered. He also said that he was not sure how many others were smart enough to wait for border patrol agents to be overwhelmed before he could come across them.
Melugin reported that Fox News saw another large group illegally crossing the north side Eagle Pass. Fox also learned that the CBP forces told Fox in the Del Rio sector that in the first three weeks in October, there had been more than 29,000 illegal crossings.
Melugin revealed that even more tragically, “CBP sources told Fox News that a staggering 856 migrants were killed here at our southern frontier in fiscal year 2022.” This is the highest ever recorded number.
Unfortunately, the leftist news networks can’t care less that this is happening under a Democrat president. ABC, CBS, & NBC will continue to bring you local weather reports, shampoo recalls, as long as the Biden border crisis persists. Or any other superficial, irrelevant news to distract from the real stories.

Record numbers of terror suspect and migrant arrests at the border reached record levels. Every day, large numbers of illegal immigrants are being brought into the country by our crews at the border. Bill Melugin, Correspondent, is in Eagle Pass Texas tonight.

In fiscal year 2022, there were 98 border patrol arrests for suspects on FBI’s terror watchlist. This is nearly four times the number of arrests made by border patrol officers in fiscal year 2022 for suspects on FBI’s terror watch list.
RODNEY SCOTT (FORMER BOARD PATROL CHIEF): These are the only ones we actually encountered. How many others were smart enough not to wait for border patrol agents to overwhelm them and then come across?
MELUGIN: This morning, early in the morning. Fox News saw another large group of illegal migrants crossing the Eagle Pass north side. Fox News was told by CBP officers that in the Del Rio sector, there have been more than 29,000 illegal crossings in the first three weeks. Video from law enforcement shows drug smugglers loading up a waiting vehicle in the Rio Grande valley with bundles of drugs. The driver was later arrested by Texas DPS. An 18-year-old U.S. citizen. Ten bundles of marijuana weighing in at 240 pounds were found in his trunk.
Bret, CBP sources told Fox News that 856 migrants died at our southern border in fiscal 2022. This is the highest ever recorded number. Yet another record was broken. We’ll send it back.
