The View Explodes at Open Schools, and DeSantis Wins Predictions

Two weeks before Election Day and 2024 in sight, Tuesday’s ABC’s The View featured liberal cast members becoming more fearful of a red tsunami sweeping the country, especially Florida, where Republican Governor Ron DeSantis looked like he was cruising towards reelection. Whoopi Goldberg was furious at such predictions and didn’t want to hear them. She and the rest were furious at the widespread opposition to school closings.

They opened the show trying to suggest that DeSantis didn’t win his debate against Democratic opponent Charlie Crist. Joy Behar claimed DeSantis looked like someone had suffered a stroke while John Fetterman, Pennsylvania Democratic Senate candidate, was actually having a stroke and struggling to function.

After trying to discredit DeSantis, Alyssa Farah Griff, a self-described conservative host, burst their bubble by pointing out that “Ron DeSantis consistently performed ten times better than Charlie Crist” and that even “50% of Hispanic voters” in Florida supported flying illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

Farah Griffin pointed out the writing on the wall and concluded that Florida was the state where most people flock to.

This TRIGGERED cohost Whoopi Goldberg who flew into a rage at any prediction of the outcome of the race. She encouraged people to vote.

You know what? Nobody knows who will win the state. Nobody knows. That’s the truth.

Farah Griffin suggested that DeSantis was doing well due to his refusal to close down schools and the economy during the pandemic. She explained that many voters have said, “I will never vote to a politician who kept children out of the classroom.”

Goldberg vehemently rejected the idea of a way to keep children in school and healthy. He screamed and suggested that children would have died in mass if they did not attend school.

GOLDBERG: The children are still alive because we kept them out from the schools!

FARAH GRAFIN: Yes, but there was a way.

GOLDBERG : There wasn’t! If there was a way to do this right, the guy who was over there would have done so.

Goldberg laughed at the fact that so many students are struggling academically and said, “Yeah it’s going be a little harder for them to pull themselves up where they are.” But they are here and that’s what makes the difference.

Behar, a long-time teacher, had a big idea that “they just leave everyone back a year.” She mumbled, “Well, they should’ve listened to me.”

Sunny Hostin, a racist, multimillionaire host, has made it clear that she is an oppressive helicopter parent. She stated that it was more important to keep her children safe than to ensure that they receive a proper education. She would add, “But at least they’ve their kids.”

Farah Griffin spoke of the success of in-person education programs. Goldberg became more angry and rejected this reality.

FARAH GRAFFIN: I work with all school choice organizations. However, I also work with hybrid education. They also did in-person education. They provided the resources needed for home school parents. It is not a good idea to abandon children for a year. You can educate them while protecting their health.

GOLDBERG – No, you couldn’t! If we could have figured that out – If we had the crystal ball I asked for, we would have this information.

They are so afraid of Republicans winning in November and so poorly informed about COVID that they are trying to get people to sign up for a psychosis that claims there are no reasonable lives.

These sponsorship deals from Red Lobster and Purina made it possible for DeSantis and open schools to be treated with hostility. Their contact information can be found linked.

ALYSSA FARAH GRAFIN: I think Florida is the most dangerous place for Democrats to misread the political mood. Ron DeSantis consistently performs ten points better than Charlie Crist. Even on the issue, which I have spoken out against, Ron DeSantis has consistently performed ten points higher than Charlie Crist. I was disgusted by the flying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard. It was absurd theater. This action was supported by 50 percent of Florida’s Hispanic voters.

Florida is the state where the most people are flocking, four times more than any other. You can call him DeathSantis, or whatever you like. He’s going to win Florida.

SARA HAINES: I thought it was for tax relief.

FARAH GRIFFIN: [Tries answer]

WHOOPI GOLDBERG [interrupting] Nobody knows who will win the state of Florida until you can see the future.

JOY BEHAR: No.

SUNNY HOSTIN : It’s true.

GOLDBERG – Nobody knows. That’s the point.

[Applause]

[Crosstalk]

FARAH GRAFFIN: You are absolutely right. We are still a few weeks away from [the] election, and we have seen some amazing things in the last days.

One thing that I feel strongly about and that DeSantis has done right, is that he tried to keep children in the classroom during COVID. Many voters have said that they will not vote for someone who keeps kids out of the classroom. We’ve seen the statistics now, showing how much it’s cost our children, who are now at risk of losing almost a year of education.

[Crosstalk]

BEHAR: They should have listened.

[Crosstalk]

GOLDBERG: The children are still alive because we kept them out from the schools!

FARAH GRAFIN: Yes, but there was a way.

GOLDBERG : There wasn’t! If there was a way to do this right, the guy who was over there would have done so.

FARAH GRAFIN: We pitched him many ideas that he didn’t like. There were many.

GOLDBERG – I know you did, but those who did it right saved the lives of those children. It’s going to take some effort to get them to come up with the right solutions. They’re here, and that’s what makes the difference.

[Applause]

FARAH GRAFIN: But I believe that children deserve better.

BEHAR [interrupting] While they may be doing this in certain situations, it is not the norm for all children. However, most children who are falling should be held back for a year. That’s all. You graduated at 18 instead. What’s the big deal?

HOSTIN: It is more important to keep your children safe.

FARAH GRAFFIN: I work with all school choice organizations. However, I also work with hybrid education. They also did in-person education. They provided the resources needed for home school parents. It is not a good idea to abandon children for a year. You can educate them and protect their health.

GOLDBERG – No, you couldn’t! We could have done that if we knew what we were dealing. If we had the crystal ball I asked for, we would have this information. But we didn’t. People did their best in the great states that did it and in the bad ones that didn’t manage to get it together as well. Everyone did their best.

[Crosstalk]

HOSTIN: The best misinformation from Trump’s administration!

BEHAR: Trump didn’t do his best. I’m sorry [to Haines].

GOLDBERG [to Haines] : I’m sorry.

HAINES: People who didn’t have enough money took the most severe hit. The socioeconomically poorest people are those who didn’t have access to the electronic devices that would make their lives easier.

HOSTIN: At least they have their children.

GOLDBERG – We’ll be back.
