Trillion, For… // (John Hinderaker)

…essentially nothing. Jeff Currie, Global Head of Commodities Research at Goldman Sachs, explains the futility of “green” energies:

Here’s a statistic for you: January 2012, here’s the stat. Overall, fossil fuels accounted for 81 percent of total energy consumption at the end of 2013. Ten years ago, they were at 81%. They were at 82 ten years ago. You know that this number is likely to be higher than 82, considering the recent events and the replacement of gas with coal.

In other words, $3.8 trillion of economic losses. Currie adds this, and I disagree with it:

It is clear that we have not made any progress.

He means progress in the replacement of fossil fuels by wind and solar. I don’t consider that progress. I call it regression. Electricity. Both solar and wind have been out of date for a while. Thankfully, there is no transition to these insufficient energy sources.

Finally, what has happened to $3.8 trillion? It’s simple: a few people have made huge amounts of money at the expense of all of us. These people have shared a small portion of their ill-gotten gains and benefited from the support of politicians.
