End of the World As Twitter Knows It // John Hinderaker
This is unintentional humor. Twitter employees are being laid off in San Francisco. Reuters live streamed employees escorting boxes from the Twitter building. Such fear and loathing the possibility of free speech arouses within the press.

It’s Pearl Harbor, Dealey Plaza, and 9/11 all wrapped up in one planet-shattering crisis for the terminally online journo community https://t.co/WFVvgclGDY

Numerous reporters had microphones and cameras on hand to interview Twitter employees who were fired. I was able to see reporters interview a young software engineer, who emerged from the building carrying a box containing his personal belongings. Although he was sympathetic to the idea of free speech, he said that it wasn’t free speech if one person owns a media outlet. This makes no sense. Tell Jeff Bezos.
Musk stated that he does not intend to fire 75% Twitter employees. This is too bad, in my opinion. Musk has fired the CEO, CFO and general counsel of the company, which is a positive step in the right direction.
