Brent Bozell, MRC, Demands Investigation into Leftist Google Search Bias: Manipulating Information’

“Google is manipulating Information” President Brent Bozell of Media Research Center demanded that Google be held responsible for its anti-American, anti-free speech attempts to influence American elections during a Fox Business Monday segment.

Bozell stated that “This is, in my opinion, an illegal contribution they are making to the democratic process,” on Fox Business’s The Evening Edit, Nov. 7. He said, “They need to be investigated.” It is not something the Democrats want to do. If the Republicans win, they will have to investigate Google’s activities. I believe democracy is at risk when they manipulate voters in this manner.

Recent MRC Free Speech America studies revealed Google’s bias towards Democrats. Bozell referred to an Oct. 25 MRC Free Speech America Study that showed Google burying 10 Senate Republican Party candidates’ websites while highlighting their opponents’ sites in organic search results. “Number one, Google is the number one search engine. 92.4% of all searches are made on Google. Bozell stated that Google is the best place to find information about a candidate. “Number two, less than 1 percent of the public visits more than the first page.”

He said, “So if your looking for information about a candidate,”

MRC Free Speech America researchers discovered that Google also buried candidates who had aggressively acted against Big Tech, whether it was legislatively or vocally. Bozell continued to rebuke Google: “Again, they have done it with top 10 critics. They gave preference to Democrats.” They pushed the Republicans off the first page in six cases.

Liberal media giants worked overtime in an effort to discredit Republican candidates and support Democrats going into the midterm election. Bozell was not having any of it.

He said that the majority of negative coverage for Republicans in the last election cycle was because they were the incumbents. “So, you would think that the Democrat would get negative coverage this time around,” Bozell said.

Bozell stated, “If you look at it around you, it’s falling apart.” “So how did the media report it? 87% negative against Republicans. They attacked the Republicans again.”

A MRC study of ABC, CBS, and NBC evening newscasts from Sept. 1 through Oct. 26 revealed that 87% of Republicans received negative coverage.

Conservatives are being attacked. Your representatives should be contacted to demand that Big Tech is held accountable to the First Amendment and provide equal treatment for conservatives.
