n faces opposition from far-left group, ‘Don’t Run Joe’ //
I-Vt., a progressive group affiliated to Sen. Bernie Sanders, officially launched a campaign to stop President Biden re-election bid.
RootsAction, a grassroots organization, stated in a press release Wednesday that “It’s clear Joe Biden should NOT be the party’s president nominee 2024″.
The campaign’s purpose is to highlight Biden’s unfavorability, and the perceived risk of running against a presidential candidate who has one of the lowest approval ratings in U.S history against pivotal Republicans.
According to the “Don’t Run Joe”, renominating Biden as a presidential candidate would be “a tragic error.”

It also stated that a president is not the king of his party, and that he does not have an automatic right to renomination. Joe Biden should not be seeking it. He will be in trouble if he does.
“We cannot afford to lose in 2024.” “We shouldn’t bet on Joe Biden’s low approval rating,” the campaign will state in its digital ads.
The organization stated that its “nationwide organizing campaign” was launched “in response to the election” and that it would focus its “initial attention” on the state New Hampshire, which holds the first presidential primary election.
RootsAction stated to Fox News Digital that in July they intended to launch a campaign to stop Biden. They also said that they expect “many allied organizations and notable individuals” join them in stopping Biden from winning his 2024 re-election bid.
“We object to Biden running for president in 2024 because he has not performed his job as president,” RootsAction founder Jeff Cohen stated to Fox News Digital at that time.
BIDEN VOWS NOTHING’ DIFFERENT IN THE NEXT TWO YRS, ESPITE MAJORITY SAYING WRONG DIRECTION’
Cohen also stated to Fox News Digital that Biden’s possible run in 2024 directly loomed above Tuesday’s elections. This could potentially discourage some voters from backing a Democratic Party steered by gerontic leadership.
Cohen stated that Democrats would do better in the midterms this year if the public knew Biden wouldn’t be heading the ticket for 2024. “We believe that this would shift voters’ focus away from Biden to extremism of Republicans on everything abortion rights to voting right to climate-change denial.”
RootsAction stated that their decision was based on the Biden administration’s inability to do more to combat climate change, protect voting rights, and reduce student debt.
The group shared a statement by Sherry Frost, New Hampshire Democratic State Representative, that expressed concern about Biden’s performance.
“While I appreciate the many positive things that Joe Biden has done – including student debt relief and the American Rescue Plan, I don’t believe that Joe Biden will be the leader that we need to get us through the next term. I would support a candidate who can see the serious dysfunction in our economy, is willing to hold corporations and individuals to their obligations to us, who will actively champion civil rights and voting protections, who will lead a shift away militarists and oligarchy to a culture that puts the needs of the most vulnerable first,” the statement said. “I don’t believe that Biden is that candidate. While I appreciate him saving us from another Trump term I believe that we need someone else who will champion the big, systemic changes that are needed to move toward a more perfect union.
BIDEN’S FINAL WEEK of CAMPAIGNING PLAGUED MIT GAFFES:
Potential voters are also concerned about Biden’s age, as he is the oldest president in American history.
Born November 20, 1942, Biden, now 79, will turn 80 in 10 days, and will turn 81 during the next presidential election cycle.
Biden, at 78 years of age, was elected as the oldest candidate in the United States two years ago. Together with Donald Trump, they were the oldest candidates to ever face off for the White House.
Biden will be the first president to celebrate his 80th Birthday while in office in ten days.
If Biden announced a re-election campaign in 2024 for the presidential election, he would be the oldest incumbent and oldest candidate to do so.
RootsAction has yet to announce who it will endorse as Biden’s replacement.
