Bloomberg News, a pro-China outlet, attempted to defame Twitter CEO Elon Muss by portraying him to be a threat to the United States.
“Mister President,” did you think Elon Musk poses a threat to U.S. security? Jenny Leonard, a Bloomberg White House reporter, asked President Joe Biden at a White House press conference on Nov. 9.
She didn’t stop there. She also asked Biden whether he should use government power “investigating” Musk’s purchase of Twitter. Musk, a self-described “free speech absolutist”, has been criticized for tweeting March that “[f]ree Speech is essential to a functioning Democracy.”
Leonard however, framed Musk’s Twitter deal with “foreign countries,” which includes the Saudis, as a shady partnership.

Schneider stated that Schneider was wrong to have asked the correct question, but Schneider was the right reporter. “The federal government has already identified TikTok and ByteDance as immediate threats to our national safety.”
Schneider continued: “The fact this Bloomberg reporter attacks an entrepreneur who supports free speech is a clear sign of her true motivation.” It would be hard to believe that American journalists would care more about free speech or U.S. security than Schneider does.
Bloomberg News has carried water for CCP, even going so far as to kill a probe into wealth of party elites in 2020.
Why? Bloomberg was “fearful of the repercussions from the Chinese government,” according to reports.
However, not all journalists believed Musk was guilty. Matt Taibbi, a journalist, pointed out the absurdity of the question posed by Bloomberg reporter. He tweeted, “Where’s this alleged wrongdoing justification?” “It’s bad enough we investigate people without cause now. But having the President label people threats publicly? People are fine with this?

Biden laughed at Leonard’s question and paused several times throughout his answer. “I think Elon Musk’s cooperation/or technical relations with other countries, [uh] is worthy of being examined.” But, in typical Biden fashion he followed his endorsement of a government investigation into Musk’s company with an absurd attempt at neutrality.
“Whether he is doing something inappropriate — I’m suggesting that he not. It’s worth looking at.
Leonard was apparently okay with Biden’s suggestion Musk was a security risk. Leonard later tweeted: “What I really want is what the president decided to not say about @elonmusk.”

Leonard’s pointed question is based on the fact that liberal media have repeatedly reported connections between Musk and Saudis. Axios and CNN Business, Newsweek and CNN Business — and yes, even Bloomberg News — all covered the alleged ties between Musk, the Saudi royal family, and Bloomberg News.
