Times uses the Twitter Files // (Scott Johnson).

Michael Grynbaum, New York Times media reporter, gives us the Times’s first look at the Twitter Files. RealClearPolitics links an accessible version of Grynbaum’s story published at DNYUZ. I look at the here Times story and see that Grynbaum’s story is published on page A5 of the Times. The shadow is between the sports section and the national news.

Grynbaumn offers a humorous account of the suppression by the New York Post of its reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop’s contents. He invites readers join him in the clouds above all of it. Grynbaum’s story focuses on the story. It is not the scandal at all. John Lennon said, “Nothing is true and nothing to be hung about.”

Grynbaum’s story seems designed to allow the Times to claim that it has covered the Twitter Files. It’s pathetic, but it will allow the Star Tribune to touch the story. Readers who receive their news from Star Tribune remain in the cloud, which is adjacent to Grynbaum’s cloud. The Star Tribune might publish Grynbaum’s story in syndication, to alert its readers about the correct attitude. That would be wonderful.
