Frank Dikotter is the author The People’s Trilogy (“a series that documents the impact of communism in China on the lives and livelihoods of ordinary citizens in China on the foundation of new archival materials”) and China after Mao . Since 2006, he has been the University of Hong Kong’s Chair Professor of Humanities. Tunku Varadarajan said in his Wall Street Journal review of China after Mao .
