Planned Parenthood’s Fight for Child Marriage

Without ever using the” M” or” I” word, I wrote about the persecution of gays in Lebanon, Iran, and other Muslim nations in a Washington Post article yesterday. Another” eagle in the room” article appears today. This one discusses child marriage, which is permitted in California and will remain so due to the influence of Planned Parenthood and another communist organizations. The LA Times is unable to discuss the elephant in the room or perhaps imply that its side might be having a problem. As a result, it focuses primarily on the clichéd tale of an evangelical woman who, at the age of 16, was forced to wed an older man. Why is child marriage permitted in California, and what does any of this have to do with that? Nothing at all because, guess who’s keeping it legitimate? There is no minimum age requirement to get married in California, despite the fact that the UN recognizes child marriage as a violation of human rights.
In progressive California, which has some of the strongest physical violence protections in the country, the policy comes as a surprise. What’s more amazing is that democratic organizations like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, both of which have sway in the majority-Democratic Legislature, have opposed a ban on marriages between the ages of 18 rather than Republicans, as in other states.
One of their worries is that a complete ban on minors getting married could be dangerous and restrict democratic rights or sexual options, such as access to abortion.
Sen. Jerry Hill, a former Democratic state senator who tried to outlaw young marriage in 2017, said of the sudden opposition from the important groups,” That pretty much made it evident I was not going to be ready to do this.” Child brides may only help provide the customers that child killers need. The LA Times frequently asserts that communist opposition to child marriage is unexpected because it disproves the myth that it is a conventional practice. It’s clear that this isn’t the case because the opposition comes from communist organizations and( buried at the highly end) an immigrant organization connected to the Middle Eastern-based Bahai movement, a branch of Islam. A number of” cases” of child marriage are profiled by Unchained at Last, the organization at the forefront of the California effort and the LA Times article. The majority of those are Muslims. There are Zubaida and Syeda from Pakistan, Mariam from a” traditional African household ,” Aliya, whose husband worked in the United Arab Emirates, and Sara Tasneem, from Guyana, who’s father was” participant in some way related to Islam.” The ACLU and Planned Parenthood are defending this, but why? Why are Democrats supporting this, exactly? The LA Times’ continued focus on Christians and Jews rather than the elephant in the room is a mystery. Islam. Gov. Democratic state senator Mike Moon of Missouri was criticized by Republican Gavin Newsom in an April tweet for endorsing marriages as young as 12 years older. Requests for comment about California’s policy on child marriage were not returned by Newsom ‘ office. Some people raped some kids, as Rep. Ilhan Omar would say.

Today, there’s a new “elephant” article. This article is about California’s legal child marriage, which is maintained by Planned Parenthood. It focuses its attention on a cliched tale of a woman who came from an evangelical family and was forced to marry an older man at 16 years old. What does this have to say about why child marriage is allowed in California? Guess who keeps it legal?
This policy is a surprise to liberal California, which has some of the most robust protections against sexual violence in the country. It’s even more surprising that the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and other progressive groups have opposed a ban on marriages under 18.
They are concerned that a ban on marriages of minors would be a slippery path and could impede constitutional rights, reproductive choices or access to abortion.
The LA Times continues to claim that there is something surprising about the leftist opposition to underage marriage, because it creates the false notion that child marriage is a conservative thing. Unchained at last, the group at the center the California effort and LA Times article, profiles several ‘cases of child marriage’. About half are Muslim. There’s Zubaida and Syeda from Pakistan. Mariam is from a “traditional African family”, Aliya also from Pakistan. Saira whose husband works in the UAE. Sara Tasneem from Guyana whose father “was a member of a religion, tangentially related to Islam”. Why are Democrats supporting this? It’s a mystery for the LA Times, which keeps talking about Christians or Jews instead of addressing the elephant in the room.Islam.Gov. Gavin Newsom (a Democrat) criticized Republican state senator Mike Moon of Missouri for his support for marriages as young as 12 in a tweet in April. Newsom’s Office did not respond to requests for comment on California’s policy regarding child marriage. As Rep. Ilhan would say, “Some people raped a few kids.”
