3 Million Border Invaders in 2023. And the Year Isn’t Over Yet.

Perhaps the New York Times is forced to acknowledge that the invasion is extraordinary. Since with least 1960, when the government began keeping track of the data, migrants have been caught crossing the southeastern United States border more frequently than in any other year.
It is the second consecutive year that has broken a record, and migration across the globe is at an all-time high.
In the financial year 2023, which ended in September, there were more than 2.4 million concerns. According to government data released on Saturday, that surpasses the preceding record, set a year earlier, of more than 2.3 million. More than 1.7 million people were concerned during the 2021 financial year. Please remind me once more of the similarities between those years. However, the Biden administration continues to make a preventative effort to concentrate on source countries rather than the issue of the available border. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken said this month during remarks at the Baker Institute at Rice University in Texas,” This moment, when it comes to migration, is something absolutely anomalous in terms of the historical import that it has.”
Mr. Blinken continued,” When there was a migration crisis, it used to be one— perhaps one source country at ephemeral times.” It might have been Haiti. Cuba might have been the culprit. Perhaps it was the so-called Northern Triangle nations of Guatemala, Honduras, or El Salvador. All of the aforementioned are then present, along with Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. The source nations are largely irrelevant. Everyone then understands that if they fly into Mexico and walk to the border, they are in like Flynn thanks to social media. Forget Honduras; the border is being visited by Chinese and Russians. Not to mention more people than previously on the terror watchlist. In September, border guards detained 18 individuals on the FBI’s terror watchlist, setting a record for the fiscal year 2023 for such encounters at the southwestern border.
In the past twelve months, 169 people on the FBI’s terror watchlists have been found between ports of entry at the southern border, more than the record-breaking total of 98 for FY 22 and the entire last six fiscal years combined, according to Customs and Border Protection ( CBP ) statistics released on Saturday. Of all, the majority of them are military-age men. Most migrants who cross the southern border are individual adults. In the 2022 fiscal year( FY ), there were a total of 1.6 million single adult crossings. There were 1.5 million second adult crossings as of October 13, 2023. And from that, the numbers just worsen. A total of 3.2 million non-U.S. citizens tried to enter the country improperly or using Biden administration-established methods, such as being granted parole at ports of entry. 1.1 million of the 3.2 million entered through ports, and 2.06 million did so fraudulently near the ports. And the year hasn’t even come to an end however.

The invasion is unprecedented as even the New York Times is forced to admit.Migrants were caught crossing the southern border of the United States more times in the past year than in any other year since at least 1960, when the government started keeping track of the data.
It is the third record-setting year in a row, during a time when migration around the world is at historic highs.
There were more than 2.4 million apprehensions in the 2023 fiscal year, which ended in September. That tops the previous record, set a year earlier, of more than 2.3 million, according to government data released on Saturday. During the 2021 fiscal year, there were more than 1.7 million apprehensions.Remind me again of what those years have in common? But instead of focusing on the problem, the open border, the Biden administration keeps up its diversionary attempt to focus on source countries.”This moment, when it comes to migration, is something totally aberrational in terms of the historic import that it has,” Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken said this month during remarks at the Baker Institute at Rice University in Texas.
“It used to be that when there was a migration crisis, it tended to be one — maybe one source country at a time,” Mr. Blinken added. “Maybe it was Haiti. Maybe it was Cuba. Maybe it was Guatemala, Honduras or El Salvador, the so-called Northern Triangle countries. Now it’s all of the above, plus Venezuela, plus Nicaragua, plus Ecuador.”The source countries are of limited relevance. Everyone, thanks to social media, now knows that if they fly into Mexico and walk to the border, they’re in like Flynn. Forget Honduras, we’ve got Chinese and Russians showing up at the border. Not to mention more terror watchlist folks than ever.Border officials arrested 18 people on the FBI’s terror watchlist in September, making fiscal year 2023 a record year for such encounters at the southern border.
According to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statistics released Saturday, 169 people on the FBI terror watchlists were encountered between ports of entry at the southern border in the past twelve months, a number that exceeds not only FY 22’s record-setting total (98) but the last six fiscal years combined. And of course it’s mostly military-age men.A majority of the migrants crossing the southern border are single adults. There were a total of 1.6 million single adult crossings recorded in the 2022 fiscal year (FY). As of Oct. 13, 2023, there were 1.5 million single adult crossings this year. And the numbers only get worse from there. In total, 3.2 million non-U.S. citizens attempted to enter the country illegally or through means established by the Biden administration, such as being paroled into the country at ports of entry. Of the 3.2 million, 1.1 million came through ports, and 2.06 million entered illegally around the ports. And the year isn’t even over yet.
