In recent weeks, well-known U.S. conservatives have made use of the Israel-Hamas conflict as a way of demonstrating anti-Jewish sentiment. In response to Hamas’ strike in Israel in the past month, and due to the increasing deaths in Gaza as a result of Israel’s counterattack, influencers like Charlie Kirk and Elon Musk have accused Jews in general of promoting schisms and antagonism in society. Their claims center around progressive Jewish individuals who supposedly are responsible for matters of race and bigotry. Accusations of anti-Semitism have persisted for a long while–though they are typically presented as being critical of “cultural Marxism.” Elon Musk is the most famous case in recent times. On Wednesday, a user on X (the social media site controlled by Elon Musk that was previously called Twitter) uploaded a clip of an advert dealing with anti-Semitism. The user who stated their Jewish identity on their X profile challenged anyone who posts the phrase “Hitler was right” anonymously to express it openly. Another individual responded with, “Yes.” Jewish communities have been infiltrating the type of hostile discourse towards white people that they advocate not using towards them. I’m completely uninterested in caring a single bit about western Jewish individuals noticing that the throngs of minority groups that back putting many people in their country are not especially fond of them.
