Japan expresses concern over continued US Osprey flights

The Pentagon sought to calm fears on Friday after Tokyo expressed concern over the U.S. continuing to fly Osprey aircraft in Japan without providing more details about Wednesday’s fatal accident. Air Force CV-22 Osprey crash: One airman killed, seven others missing.

 After Tokyo expressed concern over the U.S. military continuing to operate the aircraft in the nation without disclosing more details about Wednesday’s deadly crash, the Pentagon sought to allay concerns about any problems with Osprey aircraft based in Japan on Friday. Following an Air Force CV- 22 Osprey, one airman was killed and seven others are still missing. After Tokyo expressed concerns about the U.S. military continuing to fly the aircraft in the country without providing more information about Wednesday’s deadly crash, the Pentagon on Friday sought to allay fears of any problem with Osprey aircraft based in Japan. Following an Air Force CV- 22 Osprey, one airman was killed and seven others are still missing.
