18 Democratic senators voted in favor of the package, despite President Trump’s pressure to the legislative chamber not to pass any more international aid without conditions.
18 Republicans support legislation, and the U.S. Senate silently advances the international aid package.
The Senate advanced the international aid package without border security clauses by a vote of 67 to 27.
Before the legislation is approved by the parliamentary body, senators must also discuss amendments to it.

According to The Washington Post:
On the Senate floor, senators reiterated their commitment to NATO and the$ 60 billion in aid to Ukraine. Despite the fact that Ukraine is not a party to the treaty, numerous NATO members have come together to aid the Western country in fending off Russia’s invasion.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell ( R- Ky. ), who has been pushing his conference to deliver the Ukraine aid, said on the Senate floor on Sunday,” I know it’s become quite fashionable in some circles to disregard the global interests we have as a global power.” ” To bemoan the dedication that has sustained the greatest power struggle’s longest drought in human history.” This is mindless work that belongs nowhere in the US Senate.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska ) told reporters that the suggestion to” throw” NATO allies” to the Russian wolves” was inappropriate.
Several Republicans asserted that they did n’t think Trump was encouraging them to pay their share rather than suggesting that he would support an attack on a NATO ally. According to Tillis, any attack on a NATO ally would have catastrophic effects on the British soldiers sent to defend them.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S. C. ), a close ally of Trump, said on Sunday,” I do n’t think he’s going to withdraw from NATO.” ” I believe he is attempting to make a point. I’m hardly at all concerned about it.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky. ), who is delaying the final vote, stated that he would try to slow the passage of the foreign aid bill as much as possible. Paul said, referring to the U.S. debt,” We do n’t have$ 100 billion to give anyone.””}]] [[{“value”:”

The Washington Post reports
On the Senate floor, Senators reaffirmed the Senate’s commitment to NATO as well as their intention to send $60 billion to Ukraine in aid. Ukraine is not a signatory to the treaty but many NATO members have joined forces to help the European nation repel Russia’s invasion.
“I know that it has become fashionable in some circles to ignore the global interests we as a global force have,” said Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who has been pushing for his conference to deliver Ukraine aid on Sunday. “To lament the commitment which has underpinned the longest period of no great power conflict in history. This is idle work, for idle minds. It has no place in United States Senate.”
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, told reporters that it was not appropriate to suggest that we “throw NATO allies to the Russian wolves.”
Several Republicans said that they didn’t think Trump was suggesting that he would support a NATO attack, but was simply encouraging NATO allies to pay their fair share. Tillis said that any attack on a NATO member would have devastating consequences for the American men and woman who would be deployed in order to defend them.
“I don’t think he will withdraw from NATO,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close ally to Trump. “I think he is trying to make a statement.” I’m not at all worried about it.”
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said he’d slow down the foreign aid bill as much as he could. This is delaying the vote. Paul, referring to the U.S.’s debt, said that “we don’t have 100 billion dollars to give anyone.”
