Allow me to clarify and to fact-check this for everyone.
Here is the viral Twitter clip that everyone claims Donald Trump is using to present his short list of vice presidential candidates. ( The clip I’ll post is a little bit longer than the one that’s currently running on most websites; it cuts off pretty abruptly. )

Let’s now draw attention to a couple things.
You might conclude from reading these headlines that Laura Ingraham received Donald Trump’s small list of candidates, which would make for a major story.
However, the clip does not depict that.
In the clip, Ingraham claims to have asked the audience for their names before giving them to him.
a significant difference!
Are they all on your small list, Ingraham does inquire? Trump responds by saying,” They are.”
Okay, but if you are skilled at deciphering between the lines, you will immediately notice a few things…
He does n’t explicitly state that this is the EXCLUSIVE list, to start.
I have a hunch that it will probably be someone Ingraham did n’t mention.
Why?
Due to the second point… Trump LOVES to leave everyone in suspense!
He will undoubtedly state that those individuals are on his small list because, of course, he is evaluating them.
But are they genuine rivals?
Perhaps.
But I’ll wager that there are others.
And it might be the person you least anticipate!

Let’s now point out a few ….
These headlines would lead you to believe that Donald Trump gave Laura Ingraham a list of his top candidates. That WOULD BE A HUGE story.
But that’s just not what happens.
Ingraham tells Ingraham that the audience was asked to name themselves and then gives him their names.
Big difference!
Ingraham asks: “Are all of them on your shortlist?” To which Trump replies: “They are.”
If you are a good reader between the lines you will notice some things immediately ….
First, he does not say that this is the EXCLUSIVE List.
I think it’s likely to be someone who Ingraham hasn’t mentioned.
Why?
Second point ….Trump loves to keep everyone guessing.
He will of course say that those people are on the short list, because he is evaluating their qualifications.
Are they really contenders?
Maybe.
You can bet there are more.
It could be someone you least expected!
