Dan Rather, a former network news anchor and reporter, watched his long career largely vanish in” Rathergate” a few years back when he used forged documents in his reporting to criticize then-President George W. Bush.
He had vigorously defended the fakes when their origins came under suspicion, earning from some the title of “father of fraudulent news.”
more was fired from his position and replaced as a reporter electronically.
He’s now urging reporters to abandon any notion of neutrality and to quickly and publicly challenge President Donald Trump’s statements.
According to The Washington Examiner, More is requesting that “reporters blast” Trump whenever he makes a statement that can be questioned,” though not Democrats.”
Sufficient with Both- sides- ism, he wrote on X. The story is that the sky is still blue and Trump got it wrong if Trump claims that the sky is clean.

It has been frustrating to watch how the press covers politics these days as democracy is still under siege.

He asserts that democracy “remains under siege” and that the coverage of politics “frustrates” him.
They are no more entitled to the benefit of the doubt when one side lies deliberately and repeatedly. They ought to be held accountable straight ahead. Do not just repeat the stories they tell, he urged.
He suggested that” Live Fact-Checking” be used to do that.
Additionally, he wants lawmakers to “push” them to “go on the record that Biden won the 2020 election.”
In fact, that election was the subject of at least two significant outside-the-box operations that had not previously had an impact on an American election. First, Mark Zuckerberg made the outrageous decision to give election officials, who frequently used it to recruit Biden supporters,$ 400 million plus. The FBI subsequently decided to interfere by ordering media outlets to release shocking information about the Biden family’s business practices that had been discovered on a Hunter Biden laptop. After that, according to a later poll, Biden about surely would have lost the election if those details had been regularly reported.
Ask if they support the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, he demanded.
According to the Examiner report,” More did never mention any Democrats, including President Joe Biden, who frequently tells false or misleading stories, even about his private life,” in his net rant.
The report stated that” It is unclear what sparked the rant, though it occurred after the Supreme Court voted 9-0 to ensure that Trump’s name be put on every state primary ballot.”

‘Enough of both-sides-ism!’
Dan Rather was a veteran network anchor and reporter who saw his career essentially end in “Rathergate” when he used forged documentation in his reporting to criticize then-President George W. Bush.
He not only used fakes, earning the title “father of fakes” from some, but also vigorously defended their origins when they were under suspicion.
Rather was fired from his job and became a journalist online.
He now demands that journalists abandon any pretenses of neutrality and challenge President Donald Trump’s statements immediately.
The Washington Examiner reports that Rather demands “reporters blast” Trump when he makes a comment that can be questioned “but not Democrats.”
“Enough with both-sides-ism,” he said on X. “If Trump says that the sky has turned green, it’s not that the sky has changed color; the story is still that the blue sky is still there and Trump is wrong.”
If you’ll allow me, I have something I want to get off of my chest.
