Fetterman claims he’ll try once.
Democrats have derailed a congressional scheme that was intended to send$ 1 million in tax money to a “fetish” center for LGBT people in Philadelphia.
The LGBTQ Center, which hosts BDSM and s*x f*tishes and hosts BDSM and s*x k*nbk parties, was the Libs of TikTok channel on X that had raised concerns about the$ 1 million earmark for the organization.
A spending bill is being voted on by the Senate Appropriations Committee tomorrow.

In response, Democratic senators John Fetterman and Bob Casey wrote in a letter requesting that the money be removed from a piece of spending legislation that was pending before Congress.
According to The Washington Times,” It was precisely the embarrassment Congress hoped to avoid as it put a new spin on the cash carousel known as earmarking, where lawmakers reroute some of the common funds to specific projects in their home states and districts.”
Republicans banned long-standing earmarks a few years back, but Democrats brought them back in 2021.
Conservatives continue to oppose them. We cannot support making Americans pay for earmarks that would otherwise be spent$ 1 million on an “environmental justice center” or$ 4 million on a Green New Deal police station, while 60 % of Americans live paycheck to paycheck due to reckless government spending, said Ryan Walker, executive vice president at Heritage Action.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, highways, food stamps, the FBI, the EPA, and other organizations are all covered by the general bill, which is currently in the Senate.
The Philadelphia Center was mentioned on X for an ostensible advertisement for a “play party.”
The letter requested the removal of the funding, according to a report at Them, but Fetterman later backtracked and claimed the letter was brought on by staff members after receiving criticism from liberals.
He stated that he would work to give the “fetish” center a million dollars quickly.
The senators ‘ “about-face” occurred just after Chaya Raichik, the founder of the anti-LGBT+ advocacy group” Libs of TikTok,” posted about the William Way Center on social media. Raichik claimed that the center “brought rooms to try BDSM and s*x f*tishes,” referring to its partnership with” The Aviary, a local kink group that has hosted semi-monthly events in the center for nearly a decade.”
Casey’s office defended the change, saying that projects that use tax money must receive the “highest level of scrutiny”.
Fetterman claimed that despite his objections, the funding must still be eliminated for the bill to survive.
He explained that the choice was to pull it or to watch as Republicans attacked, stripped it, and eventually killed it.
According to The Philly Voice, center officials denied that their activities were improper.
However, the report noted that there was an extra problem:
” Over the weekend, Darius McLean, the chief operating officer of the William Way Center, and his wife, Celena Morrison, the city’s Office of LGBT Affairs, were detained following a traffic stop. While the incident is being looked into, the state trooper involved has been placed on confined duty. Mayor of Philadelphia, Cherelle Parker, described the incident as “very concerning.”
In a video, commentator Jesse Watters cited Congress ‘ plans to spend$ 850, 000 for “bus stop equity,”$ 1 million for a solar-paneled jail in the South Pacific,$ 100, 000 for an “internet café” in Oregon, and$ 15 million to strap ankle monitors on cows.
Why? He inquired. They are “1, 000 pounds, delayed, and fenced in,” they say.
He also pointed out that the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., owned one for$ 5 million for a shooting range.

The Libs of TikTok Channel on X raised questions about the $1,000,000 earmarked for the LGBTQ Center, “which boasts BDSM rooms and s*x f*tishes as well as hosting BDSM parties and s*x k*nbk events …”

A letter from Democratic Senators John Fetterman & Bob Casey requested that the money be taken from a piece pending spending legislation before Congress.
The Washington Times explained that “it was exactly the kind of embarrassment Congress wanted to avoid as they took another spin on the money carousel, known on Capitol Hill by the term earmarking. This is when lawmakers redirect some of their usual spending to specific project in their home states or districts.”
Republicans banned earmarks a few years ago, but Democrats brought them back in 2021.
Conservatives still oppose them. “We cannot support forcing Americans into funding earmarks which waste $1 million on an environmental justice center or $4 million on Green New Deal police stations while 60% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck due to reckless government spending,” said Ryan Walker, executive director at Heritage Action.
The overall bill that is now in the Senate pays for the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as highways, food stamps and other agencies like the FBI, EPA, and the EPA.
The Philadelphia Center was cited by X for a possible advertisement for a “playparty.”
Them reported that the letter requested removal of funding. However, after receiving criticism from liberals, Fetterman retracted his statement and said it was created by staff.
He said that he would restore $1 million soon to the “fetish center”.
“The senators’ change of heart came just hours after Chaya Raichik, founder of anti-LGBTQ+ advocacy organization ‘Libs of TikTok’, posted about the William Way Center in social media. Raichik claimed that the center ‘boasts a room to try BDSM, s*x f*tishes and kinks’ referring to its partnership with ‘The Aviary’, a local kink organization that has hosted semimonthly events at the center for almost a decade.
Casey’s Office stood by the change and insisted that the “highest degree of scrutiny” must be applied to projects that utilize tax money.
Fetterman said that even though he was in favor of the bill, it would likely have to be removed from the budget for the bill to survive.
“It was either pull it out or watch as it gets stripped out, attacked and killed by Republicans,” he explained.
The Philly Voice reported center officials denying that anything was wrong at their location.
The report also noted that there was a further complication.
“Over the weekend, Darius McLean – the chief operating officer of William Way Center – and his wife Celena Morrison – the executive director of city’s Office of LGBT Affairs – were arrested following a traffic stop. The state trooper who was involved in the incident has been placed on limited duty while an investigation is conducted. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Park called the incident “very concerning.”
Jesse Watters, a commentator, took up the topic in a video. He pointed out that Congress plans to spend $850,000 on “bus stop equity” for California, $1,000,000 for a solar-paneled jail in South Pacific, $100,000 for a “internet café” in Oregon, and $15,000,000 to strap ankle monitors to cows.
Why? He wondered. “They are slow and 1,000 pounds and are fenced.”
He noted that the late Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) had one for $5 million to build a shooting range.
