Despite concerns about his age and ability to win an election, President Joe Biden’s campaign received $220.4 million in donations last month. This amount is higher than the $22 million raised in January and includes contributions from supporters as well as fundraising committees affiliated with the Democratic National Committee. According to his campaign, Biden has been able to collect a significant amount of money through successful fundraising efforts, resulting in a record-breaking $22024 million in cash on hand for a Democratic presidential candidate at this stage in the election cycle. According to a statement from Biden’s deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty, there is strong grassroots support for President Biden and his successful agenda, while Donald Trump is facing financial challenges and lacks support due to his extremist views that voters have consistently rejected. The campaign is not solely dependent on large donations, indicating that there is significant grassroots enthusiasm for the president. During February, Biden’s campaign reported receiving a total of 202024,22024 donations from 22024,22024 individual donors. Since he started campaigning for reelection, 97% of the contributions he received were from individuals donating less than $200. Biden and Trump, who is expected to be the Republican nominee for president, secured their party’s nominations on Tuesday after winning enough delegates in the primaries. Although there was never much uncertainty about either candidate becoming the nominee, Trump’s closest competitor was former South Carolina Governor. Nikki Haley challenged him closely in certain important states and emerged victorious in Vermont and the District of Columbia.
