AT&T Has Massive Data Breach Affecting 73 Million Customers, Current and Previous

[[{“value”:”Also, folks. It seems like some of us should switch out the old passwords.
And even monitor your various accounts.
Unlike Verizon’s data leak from two months before, that just disturbed about 63, 000 people and that was just their employees. Millions of customers make up this one.
And it even involves past customers.
Therefore, it’s important to take some precautions to prevent identity theft since AT&amp and T have acknowledged that personal information has been leaked to the gloomy web.

Fox News reports:
Millions of AT&T customers could be at risk of having their data exposed once the carrier confirmed that user data was made public on the black web.
More than 73 million current and previous customers are now able to access their Social Security numbers, addresses, and other information in plain sight.
According to AT&amp, T, the leak was published two weeks before. So much, all the data is from 2019 or earlier. It includes data from a hefty 65.4 million previous customers and 7.6 million existing users. AT&T is conducting an investigation, and it’s not clear whether the information came from the business or a second party.
What information was involved?
According to the company’s website,” The information varied by customer and account but may have included full name, email address, mailing address, phone number, social security number, date of birth, AT&amp, T account number, and passcode”.
How can you tell if the data leak has affected you?
The business is contacting both current and previous customers whose data has been leaked. Customers who have been the subject of this security breach can expect a clear letter or email from AT&amp, T regarding the incident.
What action is AT&amp, T taking?
In addition to these notifications, AT&amp, T has previously reset the passcodes of impacted customers.
The information was discovered by AT& T in a particular data set on the black web. The company also searches the set, but it has now said,” This statement is the best:
” AT&T has begun a thorough investigation that has been supported by both internal and external cybersecurity experts. Based on our initial analysis, the data set appears to be from 2019 or earlier, impacting about 7.6 million current AT&amp, T account holders and nearly 65.4 million previous account holders. AT&T now lacks proof of unauthorized access to its systems that results in the exfiltration of the data set. We advise visiting www. com for both current and previous customers with inquiries. att.com/accountsafety for more information”.
How can I find out if my data is accessible through the gloomy web?
You can go to haveibeenpwned.com to check if your information was sold on the black web. Simply enter your email address into the search box. The website will look for your data and show if your email address was compromised on different websites. You might have even been informed that some of your data has been stolen by the website.
What should you do if your data has been stolen?
Therefore, what do you do if you are notified or discover that your info is on the haveibeenpwned.com site? To minimize the damage, you should act right away. What are some of the steps you can take:
Change your passwords
If hackers have hacked your passwords, they could hack into your website accounts and steal your data or money. ON ANOTHER DEVICE ( i. e., your laptop or desktop ), you should change your passwords for all your important accounts, such as email, banking, social media, etc. You want to do this on a different device so that the hacker ca n’t record you setting up your new password on the compromised device. Additionally, you should use powerful, personal passwords that are difficult to guess or crack. To safely generate and store your passwords, you can also use a password manager.
Help two- factor authentication
For an additional layer of security, you’ll want to enable two-factor authentication.
Monitor your accounts and transactions
Check your website activity and transactions frequently for suspicious or unauthorized activities. If you notice anything unusual, promptly report it to the service provider or authorities. If there are any indications of identity theft or fraud, you should also check your credit reports and scores.
Contact your bank and credit card companies
Without your permission, hackers could use your bank or credit card information to make purchases or withdrawals. You should inform the situation of your bank and credit card issuers. They can assist you in obtaining fresh cards, reissue your old ones, and resolve any disputes over deceptive charges.
Additionally, you should contact one of the three main credit reporting companies ( Equifax, Experian, or Trans Union ) to request a credit file be marked as a fraud alert. Identity thieves will find it harder to create innovative accounts in your name without verification due to this. You can also freeze your credit, if need be.
Use identity theft protection
Identity Theft protection organizations can check your home’s title, social security number, phone number, and email address and notify you if it is being used to register an account. Additionally, they can assist you in preventing criminals from using your bank and credit card accounts any longer.
You can check to see if you’re data has leaked at HaveIBeenPwned.com ( Pwned is a slang term that means ‘ you got owned’ or tricked or played. )

FREEDOM CHAT: Get It For Free, No Censorship, No Spying… Invite To My Private Channel
How awesome is this?
Noah is around, and I want to introduce you to Freedom Chat.
Have you heard of it before?
It’s great.
And you’re about to hear from some extremely wealthy people about it, so keep in mind that I already told you about it.
Because these at WLTReport, we’ve often got you covered with the newest and greatest!
But what exactly is it, and why am I thus enthusiastic about it?
Allow me to explain…
Freedom Chat, a conservative-based messaging app, offers something that other platforms do not: full and unrestricted privacy with end-to-end encryption, no server storage, and no business use of user data.
In another words, NO CENSORSHIP!
NO SPYING!
NO FINES AND PENALTIES! ( Hello SHAFT! )
NO BIG BROTHER!
By publishing a 20-page light paper outlining their security protocols, including the algorithms they use, as well as a step-by-step encryption analysis with excerpts from their codebase, Freedom Chat has hammered home its commitment to privacy and transparency. Freedom Chat, with their self- destructing messages, encryption verification, screenshot protection, and” sensors off” ( which disables your camera and microphone to prevent any possible eavesdropping by big tech or nosey tyrants ) is giving privacy back to users.
Download Freedom Chat today and regain your right to free speech and privacy.
Why is it completely?
Freedom Chat is completely for the second 50 messages you send, so you can try it without obligation. If you want to send more than 50 messages in a month, it’s only$ 2.95 for unlimited use.
How is it so low for unlimited messages?
Costs are low because Freedom Chat does n’t store your messages on their servers. Freedom Chat does n’t pay for its own messaging service to store messages, unlike other messaging services do.
How’s the BIG QUESTION you may have, which I had myself: How can I trust this is true? How can I trust they do n’t truly store my messages?
The answer is easy: it’s all in the pricing listed above.
Storing mass information is n’t cheap.
Why do you believe they keep constructing these enormous data centers all over the place?
to keep all the information they steal from you!
And those data centers are n’t cheap!
But Freedom Chat does n’t need to pay for expensive Data Centers…. because they do n’t store your data! It simply does n’t exist!
So they can only charge$ 2.95 for unlimited use if you want to use more features than the FREE plan.
If they were storing the data, they’d immediately go out of business at that price.
Watch Freedom Chat’s three-minute video tutorial above to learn how it works.
If a government agency, for example, wanted to access communication from someone’s phone by reaching out to Freedom Chat, they would be required to respond, officially. Nonetheless, there would be nothing to see, thanks to the app’s credible end- to- end encryption, which prohibits anyone other than the intended recipient from reading a message. Even better, there is no storage of messages on Freedom Chat’s servers, which means there is no way to see what a user wrote even though it has now been deleted from their servers.
Users can even choose whether to use self-destructing messages, images, and videos, which are immediately handwritten after a certain amount of time.
Freedom Chat is user-friendly, visually appealing, and has all the same features as today’s big tech apps, but with more privacy-focused features. It does n’t sell or use user data for political gain.
Download Freedom Chat today and regain your right to freedom of speech and privacy.
I’ve used it for about a month today, and I really like it.
In fact, I’ve created a Personal Group in it where we can all chat together.

Well, folks. It looks like some of us might need to change our passwords.

Verizon’s leak of data two months ago only affected 63,000 people, and those were just their employees. This is a massive collection involving millions of customers.
Former customers are also affected.
Since AT&T has acknowledged that personal data was leaked onto the dark web, you should take steps to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.

Fox News:

After AT&T confirmed that user data had been published on the dark internet, millions of customers could be exposed.
Information like Social Security numbers, addresses and more are now available to 73 million customers.
AT&T claims that the leak occurred two weeks ago. All the data so far is from 2019 and earlier. The data includes information from 7,6 million current users as well as 65.4 million former clients. AT&T says it is investigating the matter and that it’s unclear whether the data came from the company itself or a third-party.
What information is involved?
According to the website of AT&T, “the information varied depending on the customer and account, but could have included full name and email address, mailing addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, date-of-birth, AT&T account code, and passcode.”
How can you tell if your data has been leaked?
The company is contacting all current and former clients whose data was leaked. AT&T will send a letter or email to customers affected by the security breach.
What actions is AT&T taking to protect its customers?
AT&T reset the passcodes for affected customers in addition to the notifications.
AT&T found the information in an individualized data set on the Dark Web. The company is still examining the data set, but has released this statement.
“AT&T launched a robust investigative effort, supported by both internal and external cybersecurity experts. According to our preliminary analysis, it appears that the data set is from 2019 or earlier. It affects approximately 7.6 millions current AT&T customers and approximately 65.4million former AT&T customers. AT&T has no evidence that unauthorized access to their systems resulted in the exfiltration of data. We encourage current and former customers with questions to visit www.att.com/accountsafety for more information.”
How can I check if the information I have is on the Dark Web?
You can check on haveibeenpwned.com if your data was sold on dark web. Enter your email address in the search bar. The website will look up your data on other sites and show you if there have been data breaches. You may have received an email already from the website saying that some of data was stolen.
What should you do if you suspect that your personal information has been stolen by someone?
What should you do if your information is found on the site haveibeenpwned.com? You should act immediately to minimize the damage. Here are some steps you can take:
Change your passwords
Hackers who have your passwords could access your accounts online and steal your money or data. On another device (i.e. your laptop or desktop), change the passwords of all your important accounts such as email, social media, banking, etc. This is best done on a different device, so that the hacker can’t record you entering your new password. You should also use unique and strong passwords that are difficult to guess. You can use a password manager for generating and storing your passwords securely.
Enable two-factor authentication
For an extra layer security, you’ll want to enable two-factor authentication.
Monitor your account and transactions
Check your online transactions and accounts regularly for any suspicious activity. Report any unusual activity to the service provider and/or authorities immediately if you notice it. You should also check your credit scores and reports to see if you can find any signs of fraud or identity theft.
Contact your bank or credit card company
Hackers could use your bank or credit card details to make purchases or withdrawals against your will if they have your information. You should notify your bank and credit card company of the situation. They can help you to freeze or cancel your card, dispute any fraudulent charges, and issue you new cards.
You should also contact the three major credit reporting companies (Equifax Experian TransUnion) to request that a fraud alert be placed on your file. This will make it harder for identity thieves who want to open accounts in your name, without verification. You can freeze your credit if necessary.
Use identity theft protection
Identity Theft Protection companies can monitor your personal information such as your home title, Social Security number, phone number, and email address to alert you if they are being used to open a new account. They can also help you freeze your bank and credit cards accounts to prevent further unauthorized usage by criminals.

HaveIBeenPwned.com will let you know if your data has been compromised. Pwned means that you have been tricked, played or owned.

It might be worth buying this (just saying):
Invite to my private channel. No Censorship. No Spying.
How cool is that?
Noah here, and I would like to introduce Freedom Chat.
Have you heard about it?
It’s awesome.
You’re about to be told about it by some very big names. But remember, I told you first ….
We’ve got the latest and greatest right here at WLTReport.
What is it, and why am i so excited about it?
Let me explain…
Freedom Chat, a conservative messaging app, offers something other platforms don’t: complete and total security with verifiable encryption from end to end, no storage of messages in the server and no commercial use.
Other words, NO CENSORSHIP
NO SPYING
NO PENALTIES AND FINES! (Hello SHAFT!)
NO BIG BROTHER
Freedom Chat has demonstrated their commitment to privacy by publishing a white paper of 20 pages that details their security protocol, including which algorithms they use. It also includes a step-by -step analysis of encryption with snippets from their codebase. Freedom Chat’s self-destructing message, encryption verification, screen shot protection, and “sensors on” (which disables the camera and microphone for any possible eavesdropping from big tech or nosey dictators) gives users privacy back.
Download Freedom Chat and regain your right to privacy.
Why is it free of charge?
Freedom Chat is free to use for the first fifty messages. If you need to send more than fifty messages in a given month, the cost is only $2.95.
How can you offer unlimited messaging at such a low price?
Freedom Chat does not store your messages on its servers, which means that costs are low. Freedom Chat does not pay millions for storing messages like other messaging platforms.
This is the BIG QUESTION that you may have. I also had it: How can I be sure this is true? How can I be sure they don’t really store my messages?
The answer is simple. It’s all in the price listed above.
Storing large amounts of information is expensive.
Why do you think that they continue to build these massive Data Centers everywhere?
Store all the data that they steal!
These data centers aren’t cheap.
Freedom Chat does not need to pay for expensive Data Centers …. because they do not store your data! It doesn’t exist.
They can charge $2.95 per month for unlimited usage — but only if you need more features than those included in the FREE plan.
At that price, they would quickly be out of business if they were storing data.
Watch the video below to see how Freedom Chat works.

Freedom Chat would have to respond legally if, for example, a government agency wanted to access communications from someone’s smartphone. The app’s verifiable, end-to-end encrypted messages prevent anyone but the intended recipient from viewing a message. Freedom Chat does not store messages on its servers. This means that no one can see what the user wrote because it has already been deleted.
Users can also choose to use self-destructing images, videos, and messages – which are automatically deleted after a certain period of time.
Freedom Chat is easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, and has the same user-friendly functions as today’s big-tech apps. It also has more privacy-focused functions and does not sell or exploit personal data of users for political gain.
