Biden replaces coordinator for Gaza aid with head of US Institute of Peace

The Biden administration has appointed the head of the U.S. Institute of Peace to the role of coordinator of humanitarian aid in Gaza. Lise Grande will be the new special envoy to the Middle East for humanitarian issues. She is a veteran United Nations diplomat and CEO of USIP.

 The U.S. Institute of Peace ( USIP ) head will be appointed as the country’s coordinator for humanitarian aid to Gaza. The Biden administration has chosen a new leader for the organization. The position of particular envoy for Middle Eastern humanitarian issues was created by Lisa Grande, the CEO and president of USIP and a veteran UN diplomat. The U.S. Institute of Peace ( USIP ) head will take over the position of coordinator for humanitarian aid to Gaza, according to the Biden administration.
