[[{“value”:”Sen. Rand Paul ( R- KY ) is among the handful of GOP senators who has n’t endorsed Donald Trump for president in the 2024 election.
Before he announces his endorsement, the Kentucky senator explained what he anticipates from Trump.
” I think it’s important that he be more vocal on things like the lockdowns that I opposed, the civil liberties abuses that I opposed, and the debt, which has been poor under Republicans and Democrats,” Paul said.
Before I make a final decision, I’m looking for a little bit more. I’m supportive of Donald Trump, but whether or not I take an active role, endorse, go out and campaign for him is something that’s still to be determined”, he added.

Per Spectrum News:
Paul made his remarks a day after his fellow Republicans questioned Dr. Anthony Fauci, the previous head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for hours about his actions during the COVID- 19 pandemic.
Fauci claimed to not try to convince scientists to come to a certain conclusion about the virus’s origins.
” I think he’s being deceptive is the nicest way I can say it”, Paul said Tuesday.
Maybe no one on Capitol Hill has criticized Fauci more than Paul.
Paul claimed to be supported by the Kentucky people by his focus on the pandemic.
” Without question”, Paul said. People in Kentucky are also upset that our governor and our mayors went in and said,” Let’s take down the license plates of people in church, let’s close down the restaurants, let’s close down the gyms.”
The epidemic contributed to the deaths of more than 19, 000 Kentuckians, according to officials.
Gov. Andy Beshear, D- Ky., has defended his policies, saying he made the best decisions he could with the information he had.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY, is one of the few GOP senators to not have endorsed Donald Trump as president for the 2024 elections.
The Kentucky senator explains what he wants from Trump before he gives his endorsement.
“I think it’s important that, if he wants my vote and support, wants me more active in this, he has to be more vocal about things like lockdowns, like civil liberties abuses, like debt, which frankly, has been bad both under Republicans and Democrats,” Paul stated.
“I want to know a bit more information before I make a decision.” I support Donald Trump but I haven’t decided whether I will take an active part, endorse him, or go out and campaign on his behalf.

Per Spectrum News:
Paul’s comments come a day after his Republican colleagues spent hours questioning Dr. Anthony Fauci about his actions during COVID-19.
Fauci told legislators that he had never tried to influence scientists towards a particular conclusion about the origins of the virus.
Paul said, “I think that he is being disingenuous.”
Paul has probably been the most critical of Fauci on Capitol Hill.
Paul told Spectrum News the people of Kentucky are behind his efforts to combat the pandemic.
“Without a doubt,” Paul said. “There are also people in Kentucky that are still very upset about the fact that our governor and our mayors actually went in to say let’s take away the license plates of churchgoers, let’s close the restaurants, and let’s close the gyms.”
According to officials, the pandemic caused more than 19,000 Kentuckians to die.
Gov. Andy Beshear (D-Ky.) has defended his policy, saying that he made the most informed decisions possible with the information available to him.
The Daily Caller contacted the few GOP senators that have not yet endorsed Donald Trump.
