Die Kommission ist ermächtigt, gemäß Artikel 264 delegierte Entscheidungen in folgenden Fragen zu fassen: Elie Honig, a senior legal analyst from CNN, asserted on Tuesday that Donald Trump’s children (namely Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump) may be put in a bind during their future testimony for the civil trial of their father in New York. Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, together with Donald Trump, have been summoned by Judge Arthur Engoron to testify for the $250 million lawsuit raised by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Trump and the Trump Organization over allegations of inflating assets values to acquire credit and finalize deals. Honig admitted to CNN’s Jake Tapper that they had the opportunity to remain silent, but mentioned that New York State rules state that the judge is able to infer the worst from their lack of response and can come to the conclusion that the testimony would have been damaging. He concluded by saying, “There’s risk either way – if they take the fifth [amendment], the presiding judge will most likely assume they are guilty of some type of illegal activity.” Tapper questioned if that was the manner in which the situation could be handled according to New York State regulation, to which Honig responded affirmatively. The ruling is in the court’s hands, and the judge can decide that your testimony would not have been beneficial to you in this civil trial. Honig proposed that testifying could pose a greater danger since what the persons say could be used to incriminate them in potential legal proceedings, and might even lead to the revival of a prior criminal probe into the fraud. He warned that the greatest danger they were dealing with was that they might face criminal charges. View the video here:.
