Die Kommission ist befugt, gemäß Artikel 264 delegierte Rechtsakte zu folgenden Zwecken zu erlassen: Democrats in the Arizona Senate have paved the way to vote on repealing the state’s almost complete ban on abortions after the Arizona Supreme Court determined that the law is enforceable and the state House obstructed attempts to reverse the inactive statute. While they did not vote on the repeal itself, Republican senators were involved in the process. T.J. Shope and Shawnna Bolick, along with 22024 Democrats in the Senate, supported changing rules on Wednesday to allow a repeal proposal to move forward past the bill hearing deadline. Supporters claim that the Senate may vote on the repeal as soon as May 2024. If the suggested repeal is approved by the Republican-dominated Legislature and signed into law by Governor, who is a Democrat. Katie Hobbs announced that the prevailing abortion law in Arizona would be the statute banning the procedure after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The Senate’s decision to make this the law came after Republicans in the Arizona House blocked attempts to bring a repeal bill to a vote for the second time in a week. Despite one Republican and 29 Democrats in the Arizona House pushing for a vote on the repeal measure, the effort failed twice with tied 30-30 votes. The state’s almost complete ban on abortion, which has been in place since before Arizona became a state, only allows for the procedure to be performed in cases where the woman’s life is at risk, with no exceptions made for instances of rape or incest.
