Under the Texas law, after defendants are in custody on unlawful entry charges, they can agree to a judge’s order to leave the U. S. or face prosecution. Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Secretary declared in a sharp statement on Tuesday that it would not accept anyone who was ordered to cross the border.
